This was great! Love the detailed showing of information and the results. Lastly, this kitchen is amazing, how much did this film production focused kitchen helped (I noticed they didn't have too many mirror-like reflective surfaces/materials)? Were there anything that stood out and could be practically be brought back into a large home kitchen?

Nice setups! I’ve cam op’d on many food network, discovery cooking competition shows, have friends who work on Top Chef , Project Runway and Chopped with that name dropping aside most of your setups are similar to what those shows do on a regular basis. 🎉

@TeipelFilms
@TeipelFilms Год назад
Great video! The detail shots with the music definitely gave me Netflix "Chef's Table" vibes :) So with your workaround for Cine EI you are essentially taking away the inital actual purpose of Cine EI (which is maximum dynamic range and lowest possible noise level if I am correct) and treating it like traditional ISO, am I right?
@robchado
@robchado Год назад
Exactly, I'm just baking in the exposure index. The dynamic range actually stays the same, it just slightly shifts down to prioritize shadow detail and cleans up the image.
@jonlambert76
@jonlambert76 10 месяцев назад
At the point around 7:42, about shooting at 12,800 and rating down at 3200EI, I'm not familiar with the EI term or technique. Fairly new to log shooting, so I'll have to look into that, and whether it's something many cameras can do.

Hey Rob! Do you grade your own content when you publish to YT? Or does it go through a colorist before it is uploaded here? The grading on some of this stuff is immaculate.
@robchado
@robchado Год назад

Great video and thanks for sharing. I have been interested in the Intellytechs and am curious why you would go with the 2 Skypanels for fill rather than 2 more Intellytechs? Also are you confident that the Intellytechs will hold up in the long run? I am just wondering how robust they feel. Thanks again!
@robchado
@robchado Год назад
The simple answer is that I only own 2 Intellytech's 🙂 I love using the MegaLC but the build quality definitely leaves something to be desired. The LED mat itself is great, but the frame and mounting bracket that it comes with are not my favorite.
@JasonCohenphoto
@JasonCohenphoto Год назад
@@robchado Thanks for the reply. I actually am playing with one now and I have some concerns about long term durability. I feel like they would be fantastic in a studio environment where they aren't being moved/broken down a ton. Obviously a different price point, but have you had a chance to spend any time with the Litemats for reference/comparison? Thanks again!
@robchado
@robchado Год назад
@@JasonCohenphoto I love Litemats and use them all the time, I just don't own any. Usually it's my gaffer that brings them out.
@JasonCohenphoto
@JasonCohenphoto Год назад
@@robchado totally makes sense. Thanks for all of the info/conversation. Last question, any issues with the Intellytechs having a green color spike at all? I read about someone having an issue at 5600k
@robchado
@robchado Год назад
@@JasonCohenphoto I haven't noticed anything specifically. I can meter them the next time I use them. They matched pretty well with the SkyPanels at 0 +/-G.
