Hi!! I’ve been loving your public health videos. Can you do a video on the best skills to work on to succeed in the public health field?

Great video and thankyou for the insightful advice from your journey! I am currently a Senior finance major that switched from pre-med half way through university, and still trying to find what I want to do. Glory to God, he is guiding my steps!💯💯💯

New subscriber! I just found you. Your video on public health work got me hooked. Just applied to CDC Public Health Associate Program and after watching this video you've inspired me to apply to more jobs! Can you talk a little more about how you handled a poor grade history? I went through mental health issues sophomore and junior year and as the first in my family in college I feel guilty to have D's and F's on my record. When program/job applications ask for academic transcripts I feel shame. What's your experience in dealing with bad grades?

I was lucky to get accepted to medical school in NY, went for a week, and realized it was not for me at all. If you think about it, the work is 80 hours a week and there are no earnings past living costs for 10 years. There was some sort of divine intervention for both of us. Work will become work and I love how you say it's all about mentality when it comes to your job. With my network, I just got an interview for a global med device company from a family friend.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, I know it was tough for you to get over those days. For all the viewers, could you please share your thoughts on LinkedIn? I know it's a wonderful place to make connections and find jobs, but as a super private person, I really don't enjoy uploading my personal information on "social media." I don't even post anything on Facebook and Instagram (I don't have a TikTok account). If you see yourself in my comment and you have successfully applied for a job through LinkedIn, could you please share your experience with me? Like how much personal information you posted on LinkedIn, and how to overcome the uncomfortable feelings while sharing your details to the world. Thank you so much!
