For the eagle : keep the beach clean with no shellfish, but keep all rocks salt. It doesn't spawn without rock salt. As for the crab, I always got it when it was next to the eagle and I never saw it without, so it's probably the same criteria (tons of rocks salt).
Thank you! This is really good to know! I keep seeing the crab, but it scuttles away before I can snap a picture. I already took a picture of the eagle, so now I know to keep an eye out for it in order to get a picture of the crab. I'll also keep the rock salt instead of smashing it for the seasoning maker, and be more consistent about removing the shellfish so the beach is clear.
Thank you so much for this video! It's so helpful! I've been trying to get the bear. I put my beehives and honey makers in the former hydroculture plant area, but wasn't having any luck. Only a few mirage trees were growing, and they're staggered far apart, so I figured the area wasn't wooded enough. I didn't even think about planting fruit trees there, and I'll definitely be doing that.

The crab is so tricky. I've gotten all the winter wild animals save the crab. I haven't even seen it spawn yet. I've gotten there first thing in the morning, hung around a few hours, checked the beach multiple times a day in all weather. It's just not having it with getting its picture taken 😂
Thank you so much for the hint about the blue bird. I'm in year 3 and he hasn't shown up yet and I never repaired the hydroplant thingies because every guide mentioned that the blue bird spawns near the dilapidated building... I can finally repair and move it to hopefully get the blue bird to spawn... Thank you!
I'm glad to hear my tips helped! I think you can still get it to spawn without moving the building but you'll need a lot of trees (and a lot of luck). 😀
Thank you !! I just currently need the morpho butterfly and bluebird, no matter how much I left that area alone the amount of trees and flowers spawning never seemed to be enough. Didn’t know other trees/flowers would work, definitely moving that plant now.
Wish I watch this video before placing photos in the museum! Wish we could move them, I’m to perfectionist to look at them as I placed them even I did my best. But the colors! You do everything so PERFECT! Gonna watch all of your streams, they’re so good❤
I chopped down a bunch of trees in area 3, but kept the stumps there so the trees wouldn't respawn while I figured out how to landscape the area. The monkeys showed up the next day, and I got a picture of them. Until now, I didn't realize leaving the stumps was what drew them to that spot!
Thanks for making this video so some appear in Hydroculture area. I was checking the area for blue bird in winter but near saw it. Will be few more years till I gather enough materials to upgrade and move the building but I will checking.

Hi Josh, I am definitely late to the game! Maybe you can help? I come across animals in the wild, but when I point my camera toward it, the camera doesn't register it. Like it doesn't make that blue outline around the animals. Am I doing something wrong? Some animals get picked up by the camera (thanks for your tips). But others like the blue bird and that white bird, the camera doesn't show that blue outline. Any help is appreciated since you have probably moved on from this game! Thank you!
I finally spawned the bluebird, so I am only missing the morpho butterfly and the ptarmigan now. I was struggling to spawn the morpho during one of your livestreams and never ended up succeeding before Fall ended, so I have to wait until the Summer Year 2 now. I know it's possible to spawn it without needing to fix/move the hydro plant first, it's just difficult. Definitely the one I am struggling with the most.
Congrats on getting the blue bird! I can imagine it must be hard to get the morpho to spawn without moving the building, since there isn't a lot of space. Hope you can manage to get it on year 2!
I must be missing something. Does the bear maybe also have preferred area/season and/or time of day? I had 3 beehives in area 2 for almost a year, never seen any bear. Now I have 5 of them in area 3 since the start of Autumn, which is only 10 days for me now, but still no bear. Just unlucky?
It can spawn in all 3 areas, from spring to autumn! The more beehives you have the higher the chance. I used to have 3-5 beehives and wouldn't see it a lot, but now I have about 8 in one area and it shows up almost everyday!
Placed 5 more atop the 5 I already had just because I could. And on the first of Spring I decided to check on my makers who are next to my honey farm and it actually took me a couple of seconds to realize their was a bear walking a couple of meters away. So found him. Thanks for the help again.
i cant get photos of some of the animals cause they run off before i even get close, i try to pull my camera out at a distance and they run or fly off ??? anyone else
I'm a year late, but I'm struggling to get monkeys to show up! I'm in year one and I have area 3 unlocked and some stumps scattered around, esp near the back of area 3 near the mine and I haven't seen a single monkey yet T^T
I can't get the Morpho Butterfly to spawn for nothing. I haven't moved the hydro plant but have three trees and a ton of flowers planted around it. But do I need planted flowers or wild flowers/herbs to attract them?

I'm close to 120 and I was missing quite a few until now! And, still not married... 😆 But yeah I can see how it could get tedious. I'm hoping the expansion pass will bring additional endgame content and things to work towards!
@@JoshGamingGarden yea I'm hoping they will do some cool updates. But I'm not fully sure how Nintendo works. I just got my Switch a few weeks ago and before that I had a regular DS. So I'm not familiar with How Nintendo does game updates. I'm more of a Playstation user because I love the GTA series. 🤣
@@gamer_dude94 It works the same, this game has nothing to do with Nintendo it's not made by them. Just like with playstation you go to the online store and pay for the DLC if you want it. It's a season pass which gives access to all the planned updates.
There's a lot more content scheduled to be released over time. Since you already have the expansion pack it should just automatically download (obviously assuming you're connected to the internet) when it's released
Do you have a video talking about honey? I just unlocked the bee box but I can't for some reason figure out how to use it. I can't seem to out a flower in it.
You need to have a flower in your inventory (one that grew from seeds) and press A while next to the beehive. Then you'll have to choose a flower from your bag to put in. And that's it, 4 days later you'll get a hive that you'll be able to sell or turn into honey
Does the white fox spawn every sunny afternoon in winter in your game? Ive been looking for several sunny days, but no white fox in my game .. - Thanks for the helpfull video by the way.
I think it's not a 100% probability (like most animals), but I tested over a whole month of winter and it always showed up on Sunny days for me. 😔 Hope you can see it soon! Also, it's usually on the left side of the shrine.
You might have my problem lol. It immediately runs upon spawning even with no movement from me behind a building. I just see feet and poof into the distance.
I only have 5 more left to find and I'm in Fall of Year 2 currently. Every morning I search for the Blue Bird and Yellow Butterfly on Sunny Days and nothing :(
I cannot get the white fox. No matter how far away I am, if it spawns it immediately runs even if I’m crouched. I’ve tried several times on the same day with saves, but when it spawns it’s already running away. Glitch, maybe? I’m using the card version fully patched.
@@JoshGamingGarden Well, I finally caught it. It was spawning ALL day for three second increments instead of 12-2pm. It only remained long enough at 8:30pm. They really need to patch this game lol. Thanks for the support! You were right! 🥰
anyone knows how to solve the eagle glitch? Apparently starting a second playthrou has a chance of glitching the eagle, it just won't spawn I only found 1 post ia a forum with a guy with this same issue, same as me was his second play throu, not sure if there is any other requirement, but I'm quite sure the eagle is not spawning at the damn beach as supposed, I've played my first play, I know where it was supposed to be... edit: also, the solution f changing difficulty for a day didn't quite work for me.... unless I have to change back to just then have the damn bird spawn... I'll edit if it works...
In year 3 in game, have gotten all animals but still cannot get eagle and crab to spawn? Is there anyone with the same problems as me? I am now convinced its a glitch;(( I have never even seen the eagle fly away, never had a glimpse to give me assurance that it does spawns...
It took a long time for them to spawn for me as well. I'm not 100% sure, but have you tried clearing the salt rocks? I don't know if they'd prevent them from spawning when there are too many.
