All y’all here in 2024, this isn’t up to date info. The stores can ship that stuff back to the vendor. The new self check out will also freeze up and call for cashier assistance if you scan a penny item.

Employees do not Mark things down to a penny. When an item is on clearance and doesn't sell the system takes it down to a penny on its own. Also there's two different kind of numbers to identify the product. One is an internet number which is only sold on the internet. The other one is a store SKU. Which is sold in the store and on the internet. And there's a whole different system with the clearance pricing and How It Ends. The only reason I know this I've been at Home Depot for 18 years

They can refuse to sell in certain states in my state by law even if a penny if it’s on the shelf you must sell it

Is the date going to be the same from every markdown? u showed us for the first markdown .06 but on the next markdown will the date change with the markdown the .04? Then again in the last markdown .02 &.03? Just want to be prepared lol

there are no secrets and the only way to find penny deals is scan the item at the checkout and if you alert the cashier you may not get the item for a penny if the cashier is a head cashier, i know i work there!

Thats a myth. Not everything turns into a penny. Its on a per contraxt basis with each individjal vendor or brand the product is from. If it doesnt sell at a certain point per the agreement or if theres a product defect recall or buhback. But of course those items are to be disppsed or returned to merchant. It gets make a penny as a sorying method. You hurt tbe merchants and businesses when you buy these, not HD. Plus these items could verh likely be defective or have awz. Go ahrad by defective witing or toolz. Get meszed up or hurt

This all horse poopy, these penny poops are for garbage stuff not for things that one would need an item to fix something at own home. I have to wait three months for price drops on an item and if I'm lucky that it still is on the shelf. This is only for a store owner to buy poops and sit on it untill it sells.
