@@thepi1466 Always we mention that volume batching. If we need weight batching we have to know the density of the materials we used. Then the ratio will be multiply by their density and then used as weight batching.

Hello Sami, your calculation gives us 23.3 blocks per 1bag of cement. But in here (Somalia) we use 400x200x200mm and we make 40 blocks per bag of cement and the strength of concrete always become good, no problems due to construction.

Sir what grade should be use if we make solid block and what grade should be used for hollow block. Also lets say if we are using blocks in foundation too then what grade should be used.

Is that ratio for weight or amount. Because for M20 grade is 1:1: 5.3 meaning 1 wheelbarrow cement: 1 wheelbarrow sand: 5.3 wheelbarrow aggregate. ,does matter whether 1wheelbarrow of sand weighs less than 1 wheelbarrow of cement... I hope you get my point.

Yes you're right the compressive strenght of m20 is 1:1.5:3 and m15 is 1:2:4. And again it depends on the type of work you're going to do that will determine the one you will use. But i think he made a mistake with that
