All i can say as amazing 👏 yet another creative way to make fire. Just stunned and amazed. I feel sorry for the folks on that show: Survivor...if they dont win there fire starter, they are miserable. My late Mom used to put a kitchen match between her lips when peeling and chopping onions. She said it prevented, her eyes from watering and swore by it. For the life of me, in 65+ years, I have never put that to the test. Must try it and if it works, then move onto the toothpick fire initiator 😁.
Don't believe the online recommendations of toothpaste, chocolate bar, fine mud, etc. There's nothing in nature nor anything in your pack that's going to polish it up to a mirror shine like a metal polishing creams.
