Wow what a fantastic time we had coin shooting with the Minelab Equinox 800 again today😲 We found 19 silver coins, plus pennies....with minimal rubbish.

The silver content of coins was changed in 1946 or 47. All silver coins, which were returned to the Australian Mint, were smelted down & 50% of the silver was removed & used by the government to help pay for the war effort.

Correct @Keith Haycraft after 1946 most silver coins were reduced to 50% silver content as opposed to the previous 92.5% silver content in older coins. Strange why they did it after the war though and not during...

Thankyou so much @just a misprint I am so glad you enjoyed watching tonight's video🙂 So many silvers to be found🙌 I'm also currently filming on a Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra, however very soon I will be upgrading and shooting with a Gopro 3.
