How to find Software Engineer Jobs (and actually hear back) 

Still a pretty bad, especially for new grads/juniors. 😞 It does seem to be getting better slowly. But still not nearly as good as a couple years ago.

It's bad for seniors as well. I'm tracking EVERY recruitment since October 2023 - I had sixty seven tech interviews. SIXTY SEVEN. Nine of them were successful, but landed nothing. Why? Because companies are recruiting without having an actual budget for your particular role. So they're confirming your salary at the end, when you already wasted 6h of your life. Of course at the same time we see year-to-year 25% increase for C-Staff, despite recession and revenue going down. I know my mental state is non-existent at this point, but I would run a sanity check on people responsible for recruitments - it's straight up lying just to maintain pace with others. It's probably easier to research the market and establish a micro company than try to follow IT trends in 2024. Nevertheless, sincere good luck to anybody reading this, be strong.
