I live in Australia and I have woke up in the middle of the night and found a massive huntsman spider right above me on the roof, I nearly died of shock it was so big and creepy

I hope if I go to Australia I don't ever see a big huntsman spider anywhere near me. I would try to kill the big spider as long as it's not a funnel web spider cuz I'm scared it will bit me. I would try to capture it. Maybe capture then kill it. Or I could just not look for spiders. Maybe if I stay close to city centers like Sydney I can be fine.

Sayon Dutta best thing to do with big spiders is to capture and release them because if you kill a spider with eggs you will have a massive army of baby spiders running in every direction

they look impressive but they're actually really friendly and non-venomous, they're a lot smaller in person (usually, in cities anyway) you can handle them and if you're calm they'll just be chill.

Huntsmans are probably one of the most common spiders you will see, they are in every house and they get fuckin big, nearly the size of your hand, and they are fast and jumpy, they will jump of walls and sprint if you go near them. I've picked them up by the legs and thrown them outside before, they aren't really venomous though. They are not aggressive at all and will run away from you at every chance
