I just started playing on Xbox One. Why is this a walking simulator? Literally scour whole cities and find no food. So I walk to my death. Why do I find more ammo than food? Pretty close to just not playing this damn game.

Every time i go into a house or anything all i find is like a jumpsuit and even those are pretty rare. Everything is cleared out of every house.

I just started the game yesterday on Xbox one. I wondered the coast and searched small towns while doing so. While I was searching a town, I started finding decent gear, a shotgun (without ammo..) before I begun looting a building where I instantly found 3 stab(?) Vests then another one in a storage room, I was confused until a zombie coppa poofed outta nowhere from the lobby and jumped me in the cells area. That confirmed my thoughts of the building being an police station, but oh BOY did the zom-coppa scared me!

They really need to do something about the eastern map being so shitty (imo) feels a bit unbalanced

Spawned into my second ever game last night. Spent ages walking up to a big high rise housing development on a hill and then even longer exploring them, finding nothing. Starving to death, I wander around the streets until I saw a shop. I managed to make it to the steps before I died. I found nothing

Fun fact: Mosins most commonly spawn in Orange Stilted Houses, and IZH-43(double barrel shotgun) spawn in the wooden train cars. As well, the Revolver and Desert Eagle most commonly spawn in Vybor, in the Log cabin next to piano house. Thank me later.

I’ve found Skorpion, MP5K, and military gear in tier 1 zone in that military camp and the apartments don’t ever have diddly squat in them. Also sure if your the first person on a fresh server restart to enter you can get this juicy loot but maybe at a cost so everyone who goes to military you always have like 99.99% a Chad is waiting for you.

This video is my first impression of this producer AND this concept. I knew you can get better loot the more inland you go but I had no idea it was so defined. Furthermore, I didn’t quite realize the loot was so sectionalized. (Obviously, you’re not going to find NVG in a grocery store naturally but I didn’t know the loot was distributed quite this strictly. This is a tremendous help! Liked AND subscribed.

I have over 2500 hours in DayZ and I think it's by far one of the worst games I've ever wasted so much time on the developers are awful there's so many bugs in this game it's unbelievable. With all the millions and millions of dollars that they've made you think that they would have made a more stable game what's weigh less bugs

I used to watch dayz videos but never owned the game, and recently I grouped up with some random people that were actually pretty cool. One of them was apparently a dayz expert, and knew every location. I think he took us to either tier 3 or tier 4 but we found some amazing stuff. Then the server data got wiped and now I don’t have that stuff anymore. :( Fun fact: We started with 7 people, then before the server wiped, we had only 3 people.

Are high tier weapon max respawn v. duping resolved in 1.04 console? Meaning, it's a pain to dupe now due to relocation, but theoretically it still works and simply takes longer and better team coordination. The patch notes didn't seem to address this overly. Anyone have any insight?

I've been playing the game for a few months so pretty new but already notice the changes in loot spawns every time they've patched the game. Useful tips I'd give beginners at this current time is certain loot spawns around it's main building if makes sense. If you're at a hospital make sure you check surrounding cars, garages and buildings closest to the hospital, as medical supplies will be in those places regardless of what type of loot should spawn at these placed. In zelenegorst for instance the train next to the military base now produces double loot, both industrial and military, probably a glitch due to how close the train is to the military campsite. Also the outdoor toilets seem to be a new goldmine that alot of players overlook, you'll find everything you'd normally find in garages plus bullets but without car part spawns. It's a go to place to find semi rare items, sharpening stones, nails, compass, small melee weapons, bullets etc. I usually find if I've spawned in a place already heavily looted these outdoor toilets have been overlooked. Cooked fat is super op. If u tap the drink button 27. Or maybe 28 times you'll be fully hydrated, you dont need to wait for each loading circle.

What I've found out is the most important aspect to this game for new players is to lean and understand how this game works.

You can also find medium tents in the train cars

Finnally the video i was looking for. Ive been trying to find videos on how to find the best loot and guns. Every video i found have explained it by cities i wanta go to but im a n00b and dont know how to get to those cities and areas very well. The way u put it by tiers and areas those tiers are in like telling me to go farther inland to find the best loot was a huge help thank u very much i was getting ready to give up on this game cuz i can never find good loot such as food and guns cuz i didnt know it was in tiers and i didnt know to go inland i was starting to think this game was a waste of 40 buks

Bought the game. First 5 games I died of starvation. 6th game took me two and a half hours just to get enough food, clothing and a frying pan. Walked into a house, got jumped by two fresh spawns, knocked one out, then got knocked out. Woke up to see the noob trying to hit me, got up and sconned him with the frying pan. Beat them both to death and took all the food they had, then logged out for the day. That’s my DayZ story.

M4's are super rare...tier 3-4 is were you'll find them. Don't expect to see them often. I hunted one for 2 weeks. You can find them occasionally at military tents and heli crashes.

I really want to play with people that want the same dayz experience As Me..something like you would have two groups20&20 , 25&25, or whatever but on opposite sides of the map.. they’ll use radios to communicate with each other (no party’s or private chat) &to set up needed items to trade +to set the meet points.(remember you’ll have vehicles) . to arrange the trade ,maybe they’ll need food ,medicine , clothing, ammunition, or any type of needed help to help survive this apocalypse ... now you have the left over people that’s not in community’s.. you could do whatever you want make them bandits or mix it up 🤷🏻‍♂️cannibals or cannibals & bandits.. whatever is fun for the groups .. you could make it a competition like:the first team wiped out by bandits/cannibals =loses and you can keep it going or re-pick teams after .. vote on what the group wants !! I think:base raiding should have rules.. like you can only raid bases on mon , wed , an Friday 🤷🏻‍♂️ but whenever the bandits see you out in the free world ANYTHING goes.. like:maybe the bandits got the jump on you &the scavenging group .. start taking hostages, executing some take the radio now the community could try and negotiate a trade or radio the others (community) to try to put together the best tactical team for a rescue mission... it’s a game make it fun
