Great information Question I am currently scheduled in NC to begin my training. I am aligned with this TC, but I am moving to SC within the next 2 weeks after training Should I complete training in nc and the realign?
@@glenguevara6174 Hi Glen, the AHA requires that every instructor be monitored by an AHA Training Faculty member. We oversee and monitor our Training Faculty members for them to keep their Training Site status. We perform site visits as well. You have a lot of autonomy but we do keep a close watch on quality.
HI. Can I take an instructor course elsewhere then align with your training center thereaftter? I guess my question is am I mandated to align with the TC that taught the instructor course? Thanks.
Yes, a lot of instructors will align and take a class through another TC, and then before they do their monitoring, they will switch alignments to us and let us handle the monitoring.
Do you know anything about international training centers? I know most training centers can serve all 50 states now, but I work with a nonprofit and I'm based in another country. We want to provide CPR training for our staff members, but I'm not sure how it works when we're not in the US. It seems from the AHA website that it is possible, I'm just not sure how. Thanks!
Hey! There are politics at play when it comes to training internationally. You will have to find an ITC in the are you want to teach. Under no circumstances, should you try to operate under a US TC. They will jeopardize their Training Center doing so. If you can't find an AHA ITC, consider teaching HSI. It's a lot easier to teach internationally that way as they don't have all of the politics and boundaries involved that step on toes.
