Todd, this video is an example of why your channel is important and purposeful. You are making us aware of important things in worlds we are otherwise oblivious to. Thanks. It thrills me to no end and gives me hope that there are guys like this committed to helping protect Lao culture and these various microcosmic ways of life. What a beautiful place Todd. A real island getaway, where you can immerse yourself in nature. The accommodation is out of this world! Seeing those guys fishing was very interesting, but I do have some concern about the size of the fish that they are catching. Are they fully grown or are they just young fish. So many places in Thailand are now being over fished which will eventually lead to barren waters. At least these guys are not using gill nets to catch them. Looking forward to seeing more. hi Jim and Harriet. I would like to mention that I've would have never come this far without the endless suport from my girlfriend and our team wich are all from our village. It's like a big exchange program for all parties involved. We learn from them , we provide jobs and we sharing our knowledge and improve their skills , and take them out of their comfort zone. In terms of farming and buiding .

Loved it,Brother! After sseing the treehouse,,I knew it was going to be interesting. I've had a thing for treehouses since I was a kid. The first one I built on my own ,,I was 10ish it was a little platform I managed to nail up to a tree ,,,oh,,,dang,,all of 6 feet high. But I had a right blast playing up there. I had a shitton of firecrackers and I blasted loads of enemies from up there. Never ever got the opportunity to have the right kind of tree in my yard,, to build a treehouse master style,,but I can definitely appreciate the the effort and design that went in to building this beauty. Mina bo nina must have had a couple months of extra energy stored up from 2 month of school. She loved everything but the dog,,and I felt bad for him because he was embarrassed she was crying. Poor kid and dog lol,,I hope she made friends with him by the time the weekend was done. I'm curious how Troopy did? I'm sure that's coming up,,lol. Well brother,,if I ever make it over,,, that resort is one place I wanna go. Probably won't be jumping in the river,, but I'll be doing backflips into the hot tub 😂😅🤣 take care Todd and Neenee! Todd, when Paul arrived at the river bed to pick you up i was in awe of the mountain in the background. As the journey went on it just got more and more spectacular. This was such a great experience ,the architecture, animals, night diving just the whole adventure. Nee Nee, Mina and your good self just continue to stretch my imagination about the beautiful country that is Laos. I will sleep well tonight.

Dang , 2 lovely ladies to dance with , seriously jealous :-) Right , next to the herb garden , small solar power ! A lot going on here , where does the power come from ? Lots of cloud cover , with the speed and volume of the river , hydro ? Will see :-) Casinos are not for the locals ! The fishing is a feature :-) Long time since I fished for prawns at night , we got lots :-) Camera shots look great . Am thinking of investing . The fishermen need flippers in that river . Not a lot of fish in the basket , will feed a few :-) And the cool stills , awesome

It would be such a shame to see Laos lose its identity to China. We’ve seen Chinese exploitation of Cambodia and I’m worried that Laos may head down the same path. Like the old song goes: “They paved paradise. And put up a parking lot”. I hope many like minded people can influence and educate Laos people to make the right decisions for their own culture and long term prosperity.

Super interesting on so many levels . Mini has a Mom and a great actor :-) The spot is superb , being on the outside curve of a river , can be an issue. They have done it before and after global warming :-) @ 13 :44 , the curve gets mentioned : -)

Besides our secret island homestay we both have our own companies in the capital Vientiane, and we have kids who needs to go school. So that's why she couldn't join us
