I like this concise system. Also, I believe my 3 passions are music, acting and teaching. I however, I think my biggest capability and passion is setting up systems. Leading a band, starring in a play, writing a how-to book. Very good work, Vannessa Van Edwards. This is going to be my starting point. Perhaps a part-two?

Nice. My best one's were creating new things, strategizing big ideas, and Teaching people. The other's were 2's. Btw, you have some nice hobbies. What I find capable and passionate is that I like creating characters and making comics, plus painting, learning languages and speaking them, and writing poems and stories.

I'm late to the game watching all your videos, but I am still sharing my thoughts. Of the listed traits, here are my "1" traits: solving problems, creating new things, strategizing big ideas, facilitating change, and teaching people. I took a personality quiz at work years ago called Strengths Quest, and my top 5 strengths were: connectedness, ideation, strategic, adaptability, and learner. I found it interesting that these traits line up: 1. creating new things = connectedness (creativity starts with connections in the brain), 2. solving problems = strategic, 3. strategizing big ideas = ideation, 4. facilitating change = adaptability, & 5. teaching people = learner (you gotta learn in order to teach). I totally found this fascinating!

Got mostly 1s lol, except don’t always like teams, setting up new systems is tough (I am not that organized), and I don’t like teaching others (have experience). I think it’s important to experience or at least visualize yourself doing something you love and then answer these questions again. For example, in my past jobs, I didn’t care for teams, someone would slack of or stab you in the back, but now that I am linked with like-minded people building something we care about together, it rocks!

I had one number 1. Facilitating change. For my own 3 choices I have cleaning (maintenance ) listening (not talking) hands on stuff. I'm not capable of very much right now.

Than you might consider putting a 1 in “creating new things”, “strategizing big ideas”, “working as a team” and last but not least, “solving problems” (just kidding). Actually I would really like to know, if you wanna share of course, how things turned out to you as this comment has over 6 years. Wish you all the best!

Anyone know a job or career for someone that is good at: Solving problems, creating new things, strategizing ideas, research, listening, facilitating, teaching? those are my strong suits as well as what I enjoy. I probably would have made a great librarian or scientist, or psychologist, or museum nut, but at this point in my life I'm not interested in a 9-5 as I have been self-employed and working at home the past 10 years making jewelry. Totally not interested in doing this anymore but can't really see myself entering the workforce either!. I like traveling too much! Maybe the next test could be pairing our capacities together with a profession?

Real estate agent. You'll get all that and then some. I know, that's what I do. But, if you are too dependent upon other people's input, then don't do it in Manhattan. You'll get eaten alive very quickly.
@khloe38
@khloe38 8 лет назад
morehn Funny you say that. I have been a real estate agent twice. Once in my mid 20's and again in my early 30's with several year hiatus in between. I didn't stick with it. My jewelry business was taking off at that time and I owned a boutique. I was making more money with my shop at the time and real estate seemed slow by comparison. I'm sure if I stuck with it though, I would be way ahead.
