To everyone in the comments if you love music not just for the money but the actual quality & art of it PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP! I been doing this for 6yrs & get better every time so keep going, STAY LEGENDARY🏆
You got any tips? Im a producer and want to be a rap-artist. Im 16, so since you got more experience than me, mind giving me some tips you learned along the way?💪
i mainly listen to nba youngboy, ynw melly, and nle choppa so im making my style that goes with theres but idk how i wrote sum lyrics for the first time im 14 and my friends think its good but i find it lacking a solid flow it flows well but in some spots its like the flow stops or slowed down and starts back up
My Guy I don't see any formulations to work with here. Biggie got his style from incorporating Jamaican drums. To his style 2pac got his rap style from the uplifting speeches of pastors. Bone thugs in harmony got their rap style from auctioneers. Wu-tang got their style from mimicking the flow of Saturday afternoon martial art movies on channel 5 son. I don't see how your case studies for how some rappers deliver bars constitute how to find our own rap styles. Those are two completely different things You're showing us your favorite description of a cake but you didn't show us how to make one.
I write conscious rap and catchy rhymes and I’m pretty sure they’re pretty good, I’ve been told their pretty good. There’s just one problem tho… im ass at rapping 😂
Make a video on Aesop Rock. Breaking down his lyrics would give a lot of lyrics a lot of information and would teach a lot of rap to up and coming rappers
@@onjaseh they don’t always wanna see thee followers flowered for feces be what they teach seek a truce to the deuce who be to loose n wishes those lose
I feel I'm talented enough to rap about socially relevant even at times political themes and still use punchlines and metaphors cleverly. I don't feel I have to choose one or the other. Great video though.
It’s deeper than rap, it’s poetry. I just write down what I’ve seen and what’s shown to me. Since youth I was taught to move cautious cause bodies get auctioned so I kept a pole with me.
I hope everybody reaches their goals...I'm my own worst critic so I keep deleting everything before I can finish a song..and knowing how to rap and write is the easy part...I can't make a beat to save my life, can't use industry beats either so I'm stuck rn trying to learn how to make beats, and produce etc..its a slow process, but i promise to drop something soon. any body wanna collab on something I'm all ears, let's make some music!
Story telling Nas jcole biggie the best storytellers. It demands more focus on the listener Consciousness rap Makes food for thought that makes and demands change . Personal experience Ye and Jay z It Gets into how we hutsle and your physiological self but it's a double edged sword 3. FLOW AND DELIVERY FAST FLOW EMINEM (HARD AND CAN MAKE THE LITSENER LOST IF THE LYRICS OVERWHELM THEM SLOW FLOW 50 CENT (EASIER ON THE EARS BUT IT CAN be Judged As easy . 4. STYLE and persona Gangsta Rap. 50 c heat Intellectual rap Jcole Mask persona. Adds mystery to the artists if used properly. Marshmello mf Doom 5. Common Mistakes Getting your music heard is easy but it's a gift and a curse. Don't be An imitation of something already there . Be yourself Make an artistic statement
I started watching ur videos in 2020,,,at high school I'm labeled as one of the best and it's because of you ❤️ make a screenshot cause when I make it I'ma tell people that's because of you 🎉
not a rapper or anything but heres something that will make you lightyears better and more understanding of your style paint the art youd enjoy in a museum. make the music you like to listen too. and this can go for so many aspects of life too but itll save you so much more time if you make the noise youd like to listen to.
i want punch lines with lyricals and metaphors. can anyone help me describe "remble" rap style. humble and braggy an gritty at the same time. but says it so nonchalant
currently, i'm going for a more intellectual storytelling rap style with experimental sounds. heavily influenced by eminem, kendrick, cole, drake, and nicki, and also 80s rock like queen, i see myself doing a lot of concept projects & genre fusion
I have wrote some stuff but I feel like I’m basic but I have recently started to write politically and work on some punch line bars and now it’s seemed to help a lil bit with creativity. I wanna come across real an authentic so I kinda stayed away from the k-fab writing for a long time. However, writing punch line bars, sort of lead me into the whole k-fab thing which has also helped with creativity. Now just need to find my voice, work on my flow and delivery skills. Thanks Drew!!
MF DOOM is one of if not the greatest MC's we ever had and he didnt listen to rap. he did his own thing and made music based on stuff he liked like comics and junk food. everybody starts out wanting to have substance but you cant force it you gotta find it in yourself. dont try to come across as authentic BE authentic, authenticity isnt always about politics or heartbreak. it just means unapologetic honesty.
no joke try to relate to people that feel the same and empower them to fight those feelings or motivate people to break from that shell, also live life and try exploring new things as well. life experience will give you great content if you keep your music grounded but also watching movies and reading books will fill your brain with information you can transfer onto paper with lyrics.
What sort of expressionist are you typically? Relaxed Hyper Something in between? Whichever you're comfortable with that's your base. That's what you can work with. You can rap slow and still be dope. Slow rappers Too Short Snoop Dogg Slick Rick EPMD Besides Boring could be funny if it was done right. Write down things you like and how you feel about it. Believe you're a tight MC no matter what and you'll fulfill your own self concept. The only thing about that is that it's a double edged sword. Weird it to your benefit. Now tear shit up playa
