Being a Chef I recommend sharpening your knife with an emery stone every time before you start cutting any vegetable or meat. This will make your work easier. You have already found the rest of the tutorial here. The most important thing is to always keep your knife clean.
I didn't even searched for it.. But this was most important shorts to watch for me 😭😭 I daily get task to cut onion and tomato but i end up taking almost half an hour for this 😂
The most fastest way to have finely chopped onions is to use BANNANA RING SLICE CUTTER (which have 5-6 SS metal rings & have a wire cutter look a like handle ) , & u just need to take out exterior skin of onion & make small pieces of onion that can fit into the ring slicer & one time horizontal cutting & then one time vertical cut of onion , & that's it . Here You have finely chopped onions in a huge quantity which are ready to use within seconds , without any knife cuts on hands , completely hygiene, finely chopped without tears ( but , remember tears by onion are actually beneficial for eyes ) , extremely easy, fastest way, & ring slicer is also a bit easier to clean . I love ur knife. Where did u purchase it from? I'm fed up of my knives. They get blunt so soon and then do not cut well. I've purchased a Knife Sharpner but I don't know if knife is the problem or sharpner? I am quite frustrated with this problem @ this point.
