it just depends honestly. In some situations you need to keep making that exact same cast as fast as possible to keep em fired up but yeah it wouldn't be a bad idea.
Just did a video fishing a grass line for stripers. If you hit it right, you'll pull tons from the sweet spot. I creep on outside grass lines...or semi-burn it up top to get them to jump up in ambush.
On grass you can't "bang the bottom". Pick a bait that just is hitting the top of the grass. On Guntersville the grass can grow up to 8 to 10 feet off the bottom.
Pausing your retrieve for a second will make the crankbait rise and then continue to reel and it will make the bait dive again. Doing that continuously will make the crankbait rise and dive like it did at the start of the video. Also lifting and lowering the rod tip while you reel will also have that effect.
I just rigged up to fish a grass lake tomorrow and i just had punch rig, senko, and frog tied on... This video made me go grab another rod and tie on a crank 😂
Wired2Fish Why don’t you guys let us know what lake they’re fishing. They say it sometimes, but I think most of us wanna know where they’re using these techniques.
Doesn’t mean he signed with them. Look at his depth finders. He has 3 brands on the front of his boat. Garmin. Lowrance. And hummingbird. He doesn’t worry about the sponsor. He uses the companies he believes in.
Even though Wheeler is annoying with the way he says "grass" or "action"(very sk8board Cali guy talk)the boy CAN FISH...was that a Spro he was throwing?
Lol was just seeing if I could get lucky and get something with your autograph!!! You inspire and motivate me!!! I can relate to your video what it takes as your wife says” I don’t think there is anyone in the world that thinks more about fishing than Jacob” I feel you. God bless you and your family
