During the spring time its very likely that you will have to catch fish in very muddy water. Early season rains can make fishing a little tricky. In this video I break down my approach to fishing muddy water. ~B.Lat
Chocolate Soup = Car Running in a Garage “great analogy”.... I just bought 4 packs of Diezel paddle tails and a few Rat-L-Traps due to your videos... new favorite FLW pro!
Young man you are a real shot in the arm for the fishing community. Do you do any guiding ? Could you list those who support your advancement in fishing? Sad I didn't take thr chance to be a pro. But , I can cheer for you, especially since you have what it takes to be among the few. Wherever your situation may be , you have folk out here that care good or bad. Your devoted family!
Brian , you hit the ball out of the park again with this video,I have learn a lot out of this video, so those Bass better watch out tomorrow I’m going to be all over them with your tips you give on this one 👍
Man I’m so glad I found your channel, you do an amazing instructional explanation. Brian you are a very nice, pleasant and know your fishing. Great video, I fish Arkansas river and there’s some muddy back water so this will be very helpful. Safe travels and have a Great year Fishing.
Thanks for the help man the ponds are so much cleaner than the rivers near me I used to tear their butts up in the ponds. I recently bought a boat and nothing I normally use is working for me lol thanks for the help
sc native here!!! the lake “ santee cooper”is muddy now!!! in july!!! longtime follower ! thanks for the advice and good job so far this year on the trail!!!
The creek I fished today blew out last night. This video helped me produce fish. Thank you for the awesome content and keep up the good work. I hope to meet you at KY lake this year.
Facing this now...awesome video ..almost unbelievable sometimes ...would of never guessed to fish that shallow in 48 degree water temps..crazy. spinner bait in a spot that's flooded off a cove, not usually much water there, but was a lot of stumps..good time. Not many bites but save the day
Man I wished it had watched this video yesterday before heading out to oconee to pre fish for my Saturday tournament!! Thanks so much I will try this on this sat!!
Bro it's hard right now here in Central Florida. My last 5 videos I had no catches and I use everything you guys use. My day is coming and good videos big homie, keep it up.
Hello Brian, Belton native here that wouldn't happen to be Broadway Lake you are videoing on would it? Great videos, keep up the great work and good luck on tour this year.
something to think about too is in muddy water odds are the water level has risen and fish head to the flooded areas. Ive found that flooded areas load up pretty quick and bass can be found holding around brush and any other flooded structure.
Obvious elementary question for you, how can a bass be aware of seasonal color change (craws) in prey, subtle movement differences with water temp and still not see a big hook? Ive been a sub to your channel for awhile now and in my opinion you're top 3 compared to other fishing instructional channels. You're an excellent communicator with a knack for "dumbing it down" so people like me can comprehend. Keep it up BLat. Good luck this season.
Bruce Simmons I don’t think of colors that way even though it’s a popular way to cull colors. It’s all about light and what works for the moment for me
I would say that this video has awsome analogy and description!!! I'm still very unhappy about your on the water etiquette. (FOM a few years ago) But your videos are very good and descriptive!!!
Sound good to me.... sorta works that way with crappie also....I use BIG jigs shallow but probably not as shallow as you are fishn for those "other fish"😁.... keep those vids coming👍👍👍
SK's CRAPPIE Catchn Adventures check us out BRIANS BIG BASS ADVENTURES 🎣🤙Suport us we will Suport you also. Definitely would love to learn crappie fishing 🎣
Great video Brian... does this apply to fall presentations too? I’ve been finesse fishing drop shot/wacky Senko on muddy river. Fall transition here in Illinois has been tough. Water still at 75 degrees.
I primarily fish waters that are muddy year round. I think it's easier. That's a different topic though. Even naturally muddy rivers and lakes do better with extra visibility.
Have you tried running your swimbait upside down on a chatterbait? I've heard the water movement from the chatterbait will give the tail alot more movement upside down.
Peace! @ B.Lat (Bass Fishing's 1st superstar*) You need to link up with Matt @ Tactical bassin & maybe Roland Martin or others, trade tips or expound on each other's tips & have fish off's / tournaments using whatever style or bait is the video topic. Time to get that crossover audience.
Color give me confident to fish it more. Why not use pink, green, yellow? It's all personal preference in muddy water, my go to in murky water is white or blk/blue
Hey Brian thanks for the great tips, question, i live just north of you in NC RDU area, how would you put these tips to play in muddy cold water. Water temps here are mid - high 40s.
Sounds kinda windy. If thev wives blowing from the west the fish bite the best if its blowing from the east they bite the least if it's blowing from the south you get them in the mouth. My grandpas old saying.
Sorry guys. I've seen and heard alot about catching fish in muddy water. Some say use bright colors. Solid colors. Sound. The fact remains haven't seen fish caught in muddy water. I don't believe it.
these baits dont work, i bought every one of these dam baits and been fishing them in muddy lake eufaula now for 2 months from a bass boat and i have not caught not 1 dam fish, not 1 on any of them.
