Cant seem to find that wiring loom on Rayne's website, or on yours where it says in the description buy these products, any ideas ???

On load, (with the bulbs alight) the volt drop would be even more, so really worth fitting this kit.

Nice vid as usual ,I've got aftermarket light cluster (fitted by previous owner) which has a pretty appalling light output may consider this upgrade hope this works with dim dip arrangement.

I had this happen recently, I used some black silicone under the windscreen rubber and it seems to have done the job.

@@patriv7229 mine has a a rust issue, it's not bad what so ever, however, it's enough to have broke the seal between the glass and the metal. It's only a drip so currently gaffa tape is sealing the deal 🤙

@@chopperhehehe Ah, the windscreens well sorted now. I got a local 'small business' windscreen company out. I actually went and replaced the glass as there was a honking great scratch on it 😅

Great idea although camera work under bonnet murky. Use lighting? The website that I was lead to was about the worst I have come across. Found the kit on eBay but seller out of stock!

Measuring the voltage at the disconnected headlight connector without any load will not give you a true indication of the voltage drop. Voltage drop in the headlight loom is affected by the current draw of the headlight which is drawing no current if it is disconnected. The measured voltage drop would have been much greater if you had checked the voltage at the connector while it was powering the headlight. Also the check should been done at both the power and ground terminals of the headlight connector rather than using the battery ground as losses can also occur in the ground wiring not just the supply.

Hi. I fitted one of these a while ago. Works great as far as brightness goes. However dip beam now comes on at the side light position. It stays on at in the normal dip beam position too. The flash has also stopped working. Everything worked ok before and I have discounted the kit and everything works as it should again. Any ideas?

Disconnect the the dipped beam resistor above the drivers side headlight (Very obvious yellow plug).

Installed and happy with the results. One thing not discussed anywhere (instruction or installation videos I have found) is how the bulb sealing caps (on the back of the headlamps that seal the bulb area for protection from dust, grime, and water) are to be dealt with. The new headlight harness now prevents them from being reinstalled when complete. Anyone have a solution for this? I hate the idea that the back of the headlamps (connectors and bulbs) are now much more exposed to the elements.

Hey, came across your channel at the weekend and loving the videos! Great to see a professional company giving great advice on how to do conversions. I was just wondering if you had any plans to show how to fit a pop up roof bed? Also the products page on the website doesn't have links to all the products yet, is it best to just use the links? Watching mainly on firestick

Hi is it possible to fit a water pressure swtch to an existing 12v submersible pump in a DIY van conversion? Any info would be great thank you in advance😊

Which utility do you need the pressure switch for? A submersible pump typically has low pressure so I'm not 100% sure a switch would even operate

13v at the bulb Is plenty. They will light at 9v. Im not sure 1v will make that much difference. The amps would be a better indicater of power loss. Thats a lot of messy wire for no real gain. The new bulbs are the biggest overall improvement. My beam tester has a lux meter andnon the stock wiring they ard much better.😢

VW’s crappy wiring who would have guessed, did this mod before winter to my 2000 long nose, what a difference with Osram Night Breakers. For the later T4 it’s advisable to get a wiring loom that just plugs into the back of the headlight housing other wise you have to hack a hole in the housing to access the bulb, here’s the link. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-T4-Transporter-Long-nose-Headlight-Loom-Upgrade-Kit-Plug-and-play-1996-2003/392633726313?item=392633726313&pageci=1319bc88-97c1-4c17-8d69-735412862d3f&redirect=mobile It’s more pricy but a much better solution for the later T4.

Isn't difference already from night breakers, it's would be good compare video, without, with new lamps and new lamps with loom. Is it difference in loom by how much %

Yes fitting night breakers does make a difference, so step 1 would be to upgrade bulbs if budget is of concern. If you still find the lights are poor, add a loom upgrade kit

i did the same following your video but for some reason it just switch the biped beam and the short lights or position lights doesnt work, what can be the issue?

There may be a ballast resistor in line that needs to be removed.

Could this headlamp wiring kit be applied to any vehicle that has H4 halogen bulbs? It seems quite generic in nature.

In theory yes. Ive seen landrover defender kits be used on t4s and visa versa. In fact nextvwrek we will be covering a slightly different kit for a vw t3

What did you do with the original connector for the O/S headlamp? I don't recall it being mentioned in the video.
