hi Andy. enjoy your channel and your straight forward approach without cutting corners. Im looking for a bit of advice.i need to lift up tongue and groove chipboard flooring which is glued to newly fitted floor joists with PU glue..i doubt they will lever them up once i remove the screws as they are well bonded. Any ideas Andy.? The flooring can be binned !

The most important part that you failed to mention, is to ask the other half where he/she wants the mirror positioned. If this step is omitted, it will inevitably be "a bit low" or "a bit high". 😃

Yay good job Andy. I bought the IKEA mirror with the sticky tape. I used Gorilla tape to stick it to the wall. No prizes for guessing what happened a few hours later when we heard a loud bang crash sound!! Waste of money and a lesson learnt 😂

The commentary in the captions was worth turning the captions on 😂😂😂. Another project which could have good caption comments would be how to do holiday lights on your new extension or your backyard studio 🎅

2 minutes in I could not continue watching the video before reading the transcript. My wife thought I was having a fit when trying to watch and reading the captions. It is not possible to do both. Your next video just has to be of watching paint dry with captions revelling in your excellent sense of humour.🤣

You keep apologising for the lousy topic. But I have had a round mirror lying around for months, waiting to finally be mounted on the wall. And though I would have been able to figure it out on my own, this type of video can help you avoid mistakes. And if nothing else, it's extremely calming to watch, especially because the camera doesn't jump around constantly 😂

I fitted my large rectangular ikea mirror to my bedroom wall with heavy duty command Velcro stickers. Stayed up fine. Dead easy.

Nice job. How do you deal with the flat, shiny marks that get left when you wipe, or erase, pencil marks from walls? It's the same sort of mark you're left with when you patch a wall and sand back too. The rest of the wall has been painted with some sort of roller or something and has that sort of orange peel effect, whereas the repaired section, or the rubbed out line, is smooth and almost shiny. Edit: I'm not necessarily referring to the paint in this particular job, just generally!

If it's matt white you need to leave a VERY feint mark and very gently wipe it with a cloth. That's normally fine. This paint is solid so no marks. 💪

Fitted one of these 17 years ago with spring clips on the bottom. Realised 5 years later. But it’s still hanging. But at least mine was plumb. 😉

Don't like those mirrors without a frame. They're a bit vulnerable. Can see why you'd like the minimal design though

Not vulnerable really- my parents had a couple for half a century with no issues. I can’t see any practical advantages of having a frame, it’s purely a matter of personal preference.

I'm clearly not that discerning Andy, if it weren't for your captions I would have been none the wiser for your perceived mistakes and laziness. My thought process is "what can I watch, while I have a break and a cuppa ?" "Ahh, there's a new vid from Andy at GHM, I'm not particularly interested in hanging a round mirror, but I'm sure he will make it entertaining and I might learn something new !" Why not use mirror adhesive? It’s a neutral cure adhesive that doesn’t harm the reflective paint on the back. Would take 1 minute

A little strongly worded but I agree with your sentiment. I'm sure it wasn't Andy's intention to be discriminatory! Like the video it's about education and learning. Highlighting the issue means it can be addressed and others can avoid the same mistakes. Removing the captions and keeping the auto-generated ones will resolve the issue.
