What does altering the track by that much do for your suspension geometry? You've widened the track by way more than just the increased width of the tyres. Those wheels have a crazy offset.

what did you do for the front fender? being plastic you cant fold and weld the inside skin. i noticed a bit of fibre glass, did you fill the inside of the fender with fibreglass to make it stronger?

Yes I know right. I have 245/30 ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my 2019 GTI using 19x 8.5 45 wheels, no rubbing.

Hello, enjoyed your video and how much work was put in to just put in the wide body, lol, it's a bit more complicated than I thought but looks durable . My question in general, Do you need to tune or make any new modifications to the engine/suspension b4 fitting a wider tyre? If yes what we you changing ? Please

If you used the correct wheel size you could get a 245 tire on the GTI with no fender issues. I run 245 on my 2019 GTI. I do like the look of the wide body, but if I do that I'll definitely go wider than 245.
