Ah - Yes, I should Have done that. I am designing a new version of the HD25 mass loading and damping kit that does not use lead. Once that is done, I will do a video with a few different mods for the HD25 and make graphs and stuff

​​@@CustomCans Hey Jason, lovely stuff - what's your rationale behind a lead alternative in the kit, if you don't mind me asking? 🙂 Also, the way you describe the tightening of the bass is what I got from your mass loading kit, plus my personal twist of sticking little cubes of adhesive sorbothane in each of the cup cavities and filling all the gaps with modeling clay... (Seems to tame the high end a bit, I guess by adding damping/reducing reflections) Do you think the aluminum cups yield any additional sonic benefit to sets with the mass loading kit installed, or is all the juice already squeezed to the max? I wouldn't get these just for aesthetics! (My cups are already heavy enough...) But I would consider them for any marginal sound gains 😁

​@@CustomCans oh and another quick one if I may! I've gotten through three sets of your personally-designed white earpads, which I absolutely love for their bass accentuation. Now they're discontinued, which of the aftermarket pads that you offer do you consider the best alternative for bass? (Prefer rolled-off highs; got sensitive ears) I originally found your pad-rolling video comparison very helpful and tried a couple of options as a result (I think Yaxi Type B was one?), but settled on your own white ones as my preference

No, unless you turned the screw so tight you snapped it, you should be fine. But... if you want a set of the new washers, pop us an email and we can send out any bits you need

Yes, I remember trying that and the newer drivers don't fit the old aluminium housings nicely... I think I ended up putting electrical tape around the edge of the driver to make it fit... Our aluminium housings do fit the latest drivers though ;)

After all, I just put the speakers on hot glue :))) they hold up perfectly! I couldn’t part with my favorite aluminum cups. Next time if they break, I’ll buy the Lite HD 25 version simply because of the new speakers. It is no longer possible to buy spare parts in our country.@@CustomCans

Can you tell me how to polish aluminum cups? there are a few scratches.

Sorry, we don't have any of the originals left to compare them with and I don't want to pay £400 on ebay for them ;)
