How to fit new sealing ring for Lewmar gear lever

It seems like there is missing a foam ring at the power/gear box so I mount a new one.
I also replace the inspection hatch in the control pedestal wich is pretty poor mounted and also in bad shape, a wonder it has been waterproof through the years.

Hi there Mr T, I changed my inspection hatch last year ( like you did in the video ) , but be warned the screws can pull the ring of the hatch, creating a small gap between the hatch ring and the hatch. ( Shit job at installation by the boat yard). So you either redrill holes or as I did fixed with a small amount of sicaflex round the hatch lip which you have to cut / replace if you want to access the hatch. Sad the builders couldn't take their time drilling holes streight / in the right place.

Jeg har købt den ved svb.de og den hedder "Dichtring für Schalthebel" eller oversat til dansk "tætningsring til gearstang" den koster 27 kr. - www.svb.de/de/bavaria-dichtring-fuer-schalthebel.html

The plan is a 38-40 foot with a 2 cabin layout and a big trunk. Trying to go after a production boat so I don't blow up the bank and maybe one there is no more than 10 years old. In my next video I'm talking about what boat model I search for, and why.
