Thanks for this Max, I really had doubts if these cheap Chinese units worked, but not only have you shown that it works but seeing the install gave some important knowledge for anyone trying it. Looks like you have cost me £40 and two hours of my time...
I also had doubts and was really surprised at how good it actually is, especially since i had quotes of up to 400 quid to install a kit, figured at 40 quid it was worth the risk and I'm really glad I did. Glad the video helped, made it to help people as I use youtube to find out how to do stuff and couldn't find a video on how to do this so figured I'd make one to help others, it's not a sponsored or paid vid, i bought the kit myself, should ask them to pay me lol
Hi Max, in the kit you have shown is no canbus cable. In the kit you need to wire it into the harnas yourself. Do you have an item number ore link for the plug and pray cable? With kind regards Jarno
Hi, they changed the harness to the smaller grey adapter to save space behind the radio unit, i have installed the other type on a karoq recently and it works just as well and is just as easy to install, it's still plug and play, I'll make a video on the new type soon. If you prefer the type in this video then I'll look for a link.

Good Job! I'm interested in how easy it was to remove the rubber boot clips from the body and tailgate. I have a rear dash cam to route through them and behind the trim. You didn't dwell on it which makes me think it's easy but others have said it's easy to lose or break those white clips. Any tips necessary? Thanks!
I did end up breaking the little white clip so had to glue it back in, honestly it's probably unavoidable unless you're super careful as its rigid plastic. Maybe a bit of heat from a low power heat gun or hair dryer would help.
