How to fit Roller Blinds | Blinds Direct 

Just wanted to say: this is one of the clearest instructional videos I've ever seen on RU-vid. Beautifully photographed, excellently presented and, for a change, it's really positive to see a female leading the show. Well done, folks. It's the little things in life that make us proud ❤

A key thing missing from this video is: is to ensure you have the correct distance apart to place each bracket, before drilling the holes, so that when you fit the roller blind it fits between the brackets correctly.

Very clear and precise instructions for fitting.

The problem I find is with the brackets. When you fit them into the corner there is not enough clearance for your dill to run true to drill the holes so you have to stand off the brackets by about 20mm. This happens with other makes of blinds too. I would also agree with another comment made, that the drill size should be given and also advice on the type of drill - I was drilling into ceramic tiles in a bathroom and used drills for that purpose so as not to crack the tiles. Some people might not realise this.

How come when fitting the control/pin in one shot the fabric is laid so it'll lower down the front then in the next its so it'll lower down the back... very unhelpful!

Why is there no instruction on what allowance to make for the brackets, ie, above the width of the blind itself. These instructions omit the important part, which is how to measure and place the brackets. It gives a very bad impression of blinds direct and I'm surprised that they haven't re made this unsatisfactory video

So where is the fitting guide for external fit?

My roller blinds have arrived and there all creases

....and it is just so easy---never mind the bloody lintel some people have above their window. Try drilling through that. She is using a wood drill bit....don't need any of that if you have wood lining around the window. Screw straight in, no wall plugs are required either

Helmandtigers ..thanks for nothing! It took ages to find a 28 mm drill bit, had to hire a large hammer drill big enough for the bit I drilled 1 hole and the window fell out Now the insurance company refuses to pay

The screws supplied are rubbish, use your own.

Decent product, but fittings and instructions are not well thought through: 1) No instructions for external (outside the recess) fitting. 2) No indication of the correct distance between the brackets with respect to the size of blind ordered. 3) Pathetically poor screw plugs that pulled out of the wall on first attempt at fitting.

AWFUL COMPANY! The roller blind I ordered arrived in the shaped of a banana. Along with creases and tears throughout the material. They just blame everything on the currier.
