Thank you! I got the same message after an oil change and became very concerned. After watching your video, my husband checked under the hood and saw that the hose you were talking about was left disconnected after the oil change. He reconnected it and that took care of the problem! Thanks so much!
I just got this error message yesterday. In checking what you suggested, I found that when I changed the air filter a few days ago, a rubber hose came off. I put it back on, checked the gas cap, and still had the error message. I then disconnected the battery, waited one minute and reconnected it. And presto the error message went away and my cruise control works again. So you just saved me about $200-300 I would have spent at the local auto repair. Great step by step instructions and fix! I have a 2015 Toyota Camry XLE. Thanks for the tip!!!
The tool is a wrench - you can also use the round end to loosen the nut. I just got that same message on my 2017 Camry. I will try what you suggest and report my findings. I enjoyed the video 😃
The car may have a button next to your left knee which you can push to turn off the message. The button shows a car with a wavy line underneath it. Just press it and the message will go off. But as said above, it does not fix the problem, it only turns off the message. If there is an actual problem, the message will reappear.
That's actually not fixing the issue, what it is it's erasing the code, temporarily. If the problem persists, it will actually come back on within 50 miles. All you're doing is erasing the temporary data that is showing on your dash.

If you do that the mesage will come back after you drive off for se time. It takes one full drive cycle. And the tool used for the battery is a 10mm wrench. You can also use pliers if you do not have the wrench.
Mine just did that for the first time I was in shock cause I didn’t know what to do I dnt even want to drive the car for a long way I thought it was big problem or it might have to stop with me in the middle of the road 😊 And abt if the light still flashing on the dash it need to check as as possible pls ???

The car will lose traction and stability eventually. Steering wheel was erratic. Vehicle stability messages started displaying. I tried to get an alignment done, that didn't fix it either. Solution: I replaced the battery and the problem was solved.
