I really just did this video cause I solved a problem with this method by accident.
I'm not an expert, but if this doesn't work I recommend you to reinstall Windows.
If that doesn't fix the error either, it's most likely not a software issue.
So check your graphicscard. Is it connected properly? Does it look and smell fine? (no joke).
You got the newest drivers for your graphicscard?
Is the game you wanna play old? If thats the case, and you use a newer gen graphicscard, that could be the reason for the error.
In general: Try a different graphicscard if the Windows reinstall didn't work.

My fix only requires 1 file. It's an xinput1_3.dll file and all anyone has to do is drag and drop the file into the main game directory folder where the game launcher is located. On very, very rare occasions, you may have to place the file into the "bin" folder where the game launcher is not located. DUDE this is really important. Im thinking that the people that are saying that i didn't work it's because they paste the DLL files in the wrong folder, sometimes (what happened to me) the launcher could be in the wrong location, (i think it should be a launcher in 32 and 64 bits in every game) you must look if you are pasteing all the dll files in the correct place because if not i would not work!. My case (windows c > program files (86)> epic games> Launcher> portal > binaries > win 64 instead of win 32. The only problem that i'm having right now it's that i can't hear anything from the game, i will see what can i do. Sorry for bad english, greetings from Argentina!

OMG it actually works! I have not been able to get any game made with unreal to open on windows 11. I have literally spend days ... replaced C++ so many times, direct, framework, updated everything, drivers, nothing worked. So I gave up, came back to it months later still no luck. Zero luck with the asshats at Microsoft. Then I stumbled across your video. You Sir are a true hero. This fix is simple, to the point and you Don't have to paste files into the windows system folders (so probably safer?) Thank you

PLEASE READ: The creator of this video failed to mention this. All these .dll files run in x64 base. Meaning if you plan to use these with a x32 base game, THEY WILL NOT WORK! Check if your game runs in a x32 base before planning to use these .dll files!

still didn't work for me. I've tried everything at this point :( But thank you for your effort anyways Edit: Fixed, My problem was with the Sims 4. I fixed it by right-clicking on the game while in the origin app and changing the advanced settings to 32-bit instead of 64-bit (even though my device is 64-bit) Started right up after that

This didn't work for me. What fixed it was just installing Visual C++ 2013. I had a newer version installed. I guess some games don't work with the latest version.

It might be compatible issues like change it to win7/8 in compatibility mode (right click menu), or it didn’t work because you have a x32 base instead of x64.
