How to fix 2014 Chevy traverse traction control/ stibiltrac... SUBSCRIBE PLEASE 

FIXED! My 2014 gmc acadia slt was showing traction control off and service stabilitrak after just a few mins of driving after about 35mph if I accelerated more than 1/3 throttle the truck would cut power in quick intervals making the drivetrain shake hard. So after finding that my brake switch sensor was always triggering the lights to be on and it had to do with the slack that built up over the years in my brake peddle... changing the sensor wouldn't fixed the problem... so I added a small piece of plastic to the sensor to fix the problem. I've been driving it alot over the last few weeks with zero problems! Hope this helps someone.

Good job getting straight to the point. Also good job pointing out what YOUR fix was. This light trips for a number of different things, and a lot of times people will get theirs fixed and then post what they did and think that it's THE only fix. It's not. This circuit has a lot of things running on it and any of those sensors will trip the abs and stabilitrak. Your right, start easy. Like I said your fouling plug caused yours, your to throttle positioning sensor dirty in the intake can trip it, your speed sensor on each wheel can cause it, I read that the sensor on ur fuel pedal can trip it, a wheel bearing going out can trip it, is imagine if the TPS is on that circuit, then the MAF, and maybe o2 sensors will even be on it. Threes a lot of things that can cause it. I liked ur style on this vid, you pointed out what and how for your fix, and that bit wasn't the only fix, and you kept it short and sweet cause id say you were like us, trying to search RU-vid on what to do, and kept finding 20min vids on a bunch of junk that helped nobody. Good Morning Hun, I took mine for a Diagnosis and they found nothing wrong, yet I have this light as well. My Car hasn't lost power thank god, but it comes on and off pretty frequently.

Sounds like this engine has a lifter noise….that ticking. Or is it just amplified from the video quality?

Also. You don't want to only fix 1 spark plug. Just do all 6 same time. :)

Mine has done this alert 2 times on cold starts. Turned it off and turned it on. Cleared

I’ve replaced the ignition coil on cylinder 3 and 5 so far. It only works so long until another one goes out 🤦🏼‍♀️

My stabilitrak lights were coming on - I discovered it was because one of my tires developed a bump in it, and that caused the light to go on on my dash. I replaced the two front tires, the ride improved, and the stabilizer light has not come on again...

Did that 2 years ago, it came back on today 😢

Try disconnecting and cleaning both sides of the battery, also check the life of your battery, it has worked for me three times. I own a 2013 traverse.

Yo having same issues about to replace the accelerator pedal and sensors Chevy refuses to deem these issues as recalls along with excessive oil consumption between oil changes

I got it fixed, in my case after engine change, they forgot (smh)to connect back the front right ABS cable, code cleared

I have 2012 chevy traverse. Just today at home when get in the car it started good but when I tried to push the gas on driving mode the car is not moving. I'm not sure what's the problem?

Did you ever have the problem of it randomly cutting off, and then have to put in park and then re crank? With the code ignition 1 switch circuit 2

Where did you get your coil pack at?

What is that ticking Noise? In the engine bay Is that the high pressure fuel pump ?

Just cleaned the Tbody too see if that was it; because she was dirty..lol nope this is my next thing ima try

Why the hell am I dealing with this same dam issue

These videos all have different issues because all the codes are referring to different issues step one too identify your issue is to scan your vehicle with a obd 2 scanner get code and go from there, no one is wrong or right the stabilitrak and check engine lights etc can be for multiple reasons.

My ‘16 starts acting weird after a long drive saying service traction control but then the light goes off and it drives normal once i turn it off then turn it back on. It only has 53xxx miles

2012 chevy traverse and I cleaned out the throttle body and still didn't help. Took to a mechanic that came highly recommended he read it and it said my pedal sensor was bad so just bought the assembly to change that out with a new sensor. Same signs.. stabilitrack needs service loss of engine power...will update after complete.

But how did you know which coil was bad?

they wasn't tryna work you w replacing all the plugs. normally when one goes they all go, one by one so its just easier

Am I the only one that has been told that I need a new motor that I have no compression in one of my cylinders? Mine does the exact same thing but says ignition coils 2,4,6 are bad and I’ve changed those and still nothing. But yet sometimes my car runs completely fine. How does a cylinder with no compression just get compression all of the sudden?

I just change the valve cover seals and just got the error and the engine shuts down.

BTW. I forgot to say, I know u said earlier that you couldn't get the auto parts store to read the OBD for you. They do have allot of rules and regulations anymore about the OBD thing because of legal issues, like I used to work for advanced and got written up for erasing an engine light once, I was mad and thought it was unreasonable, until it was explained to me why, Imagine a car comes and has an engine light on, and in allllllllllll those codes, it had one that was extremely serious. Well you erased it, and then later, their motor throws a rod or something, and chances are they come back and blame you for not telling and turning off the light. Also, say you buy a car that has every code thrown under the sun, but u didn't know it, cause the previous owner turned off the light and made out like it was in perfect shape. Chances Are the light will come back, but sometimes it will take a while. I've known used car dealers to do this on the lot cause they wanted to make a sell instead of a repair. so anyways, way off topic.....I have an OBD reader. They ain't cheap... But if you can manage to convince a shop to read it for you, it will SOMETIMES pinpoint the problem in the circuit for you. Like mine is pinpointing the speed sensor on the driver front wheel. this is also a 2012 traverse, so it may depend which year, and also may not pinpoint ALL the sensors that is on this circuit that could go bad. I'll quit now though, hopefully all this helps somebidyr

Like someone commented before, looks lo ke theres a bunch of fails that make stabilitrack and reduced engine power warnings and go off. In my case for 2012 Traverse it was coils 2 & 5, fixed them and changed all 6 spark plugs, a week later warnings went off again and started blowing more smoke than a forest fire, checked the snorkel type canister afyer the Axel body and had a bit off oil, some say it adds a lot off oil some times but wasnt the case, so i just reseted codes by disconectong the battery, reconected and its been runnig smooth a week now. Conclusion: its a tricky MF truck

Bro if u not a mechanic. Please don’t make a video. Just about everything u said made no damn sense. The real cause is the throttle body. Eventually your crap ass Chevy will do it again. Until u clean the throttle body. On another note. Chevy,Ford,Buick, all American garbage cars should never get regular gas. V6 and up.due to build up in the throttle body. And other components such as cat converters. Also don’t go to any shop. They are all crooks. The job is easy to do. Wat a waste of 3 min.
