Im about to fix mine also but when i pulled it apart (thanks to the string broke) i did not have the internal plastic ring and it was not bolted shut, everything went everywhere when i took it lose. Does it apply critical damage to the pulley if I dont get a new plastic ring and spring?
You will need all the parts or it won't work properly i don't know if you can buy the plastic ring and spring separately you might need another complete pull start.
Have the same thing... did everything like U showed... but the Metalthing would not come out when I turn it... turned the plastic thing both possible ways.. no difference
Fix It ok thanks but I am working on a 125 cc dirtbike and a 500cc snowmobile And it is going really good I got my dad's snowmobile running good and mine so thanks a lot man keep up the good work
is the pull start working properly like turning engine over when you pull it. if it is what I would do first is take spark plug out and put your finger over spark plug hole then pull cord if you don't feel pressure pushing your finger away from the hole then you might have internal issues like broken piston, broken rings, maybe even broken cam shaft if one of these is broken you might need another engine hope this helps
+Fix It thanks mate, i changed the pullstart it works now the bike starts however after 10minutes it shutsoff Also the petrol tap switch when turned on leaks alot of petrol through the pipe how will i fix this
sounds like your fuel bowl is over filling so your float is not shutting the gas off when bowl is full and engine is getting too much fuel. you will need to remove fuel bowl, remove float + float needle check in hole where needle goes too make sure its clean. give all parts a clean now you can bend float bracket a little down so it shuts off gas earlier make sure you put all parts back how they were when putting together then try it I have had this problem before on one of my bikes and this worked if it doesn't work you can try to bend float more but not too much or try to find another carby to put on it hope this helps
it sounds like your coil spring is not in properly or broken it must be hooked on both ends take it apart check nothing is broken and follow this clip to put it back together
+TheFuckingPresident T It sounds like your spring is broken or not attached. you will need to take it apart make sure the spring has a hook on both ends. if all looks ok follow my clip to put it back together. if not let me know what you find I might have some ideas to fix it.
