Hello please may I ask you a question, regarding diy fix for keys fixing on a donner DEP 20 I bought and arrived damaged. Would it be possible that you could advise as to how to diy I am not familiar with the mechanics of it but would be willing to take instruction to fix, not able to get it fixed with a professional. Ty so much...
UNBELIEVABLE!! At first I had my doubts but I decided to do this anyway cause I was desperate and it worked. I really appreciate you for this you don’t know how much it helped me. Guys this works!!
Hey there! My keyboard has broken keys yesterday and I was not able to practice, I'm just starting to play piano keyboard and does not know anything about fixing piano. But just now I did what you shown on this video and It's really Amazing! My keyboard keys are all fixed. I coudn't believe that I opened the keyboard myself. Thank you so much I really appreciate you. You have no idea how much this make my day today! I hope you are safe. Thank you again!😊
OMG TYSM!! about 2 yrs ago i spilled something on my keyboard and some of the keys stopped working. i managed to get a most of them working again, but there were still a couple that didn't. 1 of those was a key i use all the time. i was about to retire the keyboard and get a new 1, but i thought I'd try 1 last time to see if i could fix it. that's wen i stumbled upon ur vid and now ALL my keys work!!! i almost cried bc its been so long since I've been able to play and hear the songs i play in their entirety and without missing notes in between. tysm again
At first attempt, we fixed the 3 dead keys and then when I press the other keys, they did not work :'( but we still fixing it, hopefully it'll be fixed soon. God bless!💗
YO!! THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU SAVED MY SANITY AND MONEY!! This is not the firat time i opened my keyboard, iv done so before to clean it oit from the dust but when i turned it on i found out a bunch of the keys where dead, so i opened it again to clean it properly but it still didnt work, i was devastated, i thought this was the end of my keyboard an di stowed it away for 3 months, but i later decidrd to find a solution, i was skeptical at first abt the pencil but ig that makes sense, and now they all work perfectly!!! Tysm you saved me, and for anyone worried abt this way it sure does work :D
My problem is the pcb itself, the contact metal in the PCB has eroded so its missing a few "arms?" so its not properly touching/making contact with the conductive rubber. Its the part that you added the pencil lead like a two inverted M markings in the PCB. Do you guys know how to fix that?
For anyone wondering if this is going to work for you, it worked for me, but my situation was this: the key was working find and then suddenly it started to not play the note all the times you press it, so I needed to do it harder or several times until it started playing again the note, but just for a few seconds. So if your keyboard have a similar issue, then give it a try
And I know it wasn't a mechanical issue or something like that because I armed and disarmed it a few times but it worked just until I decided to use the pencil
@@hey_u_know_its_anna3022 hey there, thank you for stopping by. It is a pretty good conductor. The harder the pencil lead like 6H - the worse a conductor/higher vresistance it will have.
I know I come like 5 years after you uploaded this video, but anyhow, let's get to the matter at hand. I have a RockJam RJ461 which *A lot* of keys do not work, and several had to be taken out because the little black dots that make contact to play the note fell off and they're practically gone. Do you know any place where these like silicon parts for the keyboard can be bought? It would be a huge help, as I really want to fix this issue.
I have the same kind of keyboard, wonder if the green and the black part is replaceable? (under the white rubber/silicone thing) Mine got broken under one key. Or just get a new electronic keyboard?
I guess you mean the PCB board. Try searching it on the internet if they sell the part or just ask a technician. If you have no problem on buying a new keyboard, JUST GET IT!
I dont know why my casio sa 45 have not working the kick and cymbal pad and the buttons 0 and 5. It is suèr clean and I make that and I dont know if i made it bad
mine to, i have all the C's from lowest to highest. First, it was only 3 adjacent keys didn't work, after i assembled back, thats when the C's problem begins. 🙁
While transporting a Yamaha DGX-650 on the back of my car , it fell between the seats and one white key got damaged ,it sticks out half of inch , it still acts like the other ones but there is no sound. Any info will be apreciated.
wow, You're a music keyboard tech dude. I never broke my piano keys. Im hiring music techs (Such as Guitar tech repair man, Drum tech repair man and piano tech repair man) for my gig or concerts after hiring musicians for making my own band.
Thanks bro 🙏 Wow cool. I hope I can hire myself music techs in the future. In the meantime, I still have so much to learn and still improving. Thank you for spending your time watching my video. It means a lot 👍🏻
I assume the graphite in the pencil just helps it make better electrical contact. If that is the case, a more permanent solution would be to clean the contact areas with isopropyl alcohol. You might wanna test how the material reacts to the alcohol at an unimportant spot but in general it is safe to use which is why it is frequently used for cleaning/repairing electronics. Do not use acetone! It can dissolve certain plastics that are common in electronics.
The A# key is not working my keyboard is yamaha psr e373 its been a year since we bought it, i want to open it but im scared what if i make it worse or broke it. We are still looking for keyboard repair shops but here in Pangasinan its hard to find when we bring it to the shop where we buy the piano they told us that they will bring it to manila to fix it and it will take a month. What can i do to fix this? can i really fix this by myself?
this is literally what a technician would do if you brought your keyboard to them but instead it's on a tutorial which means same process but less money
kidding me! i am def going to try this as my old portable yamaha has been sitting for years for this reason. i will come back and update either way when i try it. Thank you so very much.
Is there any solution ? My only eflat key working but it sometimes sounds waay loud than the other keys. Its so random sometimes working fine but sometimes sounds so loud and it scares me. 😨
@@turnoffreality5333 dud i tried that. It didnt work plus it broke my piano. Whenever i play one note, its glitching like, there are so many random sounds in one key
hey there, thank you for stopping by. It is a pretty good conductor. So it helps. The harder the pencil lead like 6H - the worse a conductor/higher vresistance it will have.
