Your super detailed video helped me repair a high voltage shop fan power cable. The stupid ground plug broke off. My girlfriend had been using it like this for about 6 months & I was always concerned with safety. I finally replaced the whole plug with one of those heavy duty ones & watched your video to make sure I had the colors right. Thank you, Sir.

Yeap, you made me look like a Pro. My kid's dogs chewed up the cord on the Masterbuilt smoker so we definitely were in scramble mode with D Day faster approaching

Oh hey...follow up comment... 10:20...that's my cord..!! Well except mine doesn't have a green casing for the middle one. All three are just copper, covered in the black vinyl stuff. Again, great informative video..!!

I really appreciated and enjoyed this video. It was very easy to follow although I noticed that you rushed the last example (I had to replay it a few times to understand what you were doing). Hi, great video! I have a three wire flat cord. That was cool you said the ribbed side it the (black)hot, and the smooth side it the (white)neutral one. Quick question. I have three wires for my cord. It's a solid black cord, and no interior wire color coating. Safe to say the middle one, is the (green) ground?
