When a small appliance electric cord plug breaks, you can either throw the entire appliance away or fix the plug end. I had a coffee roaster motor where the plug end frayed and finally broke. It was a simple 2 prong non-polarized plug end that needed to be replaced. The local big box store or Amazon can supply an inexpensive replacement for the plug end.

The procedure was pretty straight forward. I just needed to make sure I picked the correct replacement plug type.
The tools needed for this repair were a phillips screw driver and wire strippers which made cutting the wire simple..
