Hi. For my lenovo g510 is no display. Computer turns on but just no display. Before that computer was dissasambled. I guess something wrong with motherboard, right? Thanks
It could be a problem with your RAM. That can cause it to turn on but not display. I would try this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xdLVWCxBdcc.html It shows you how to test for a RAM problem

You may have to force shut down by unplugging it then I would try checking your Windows logs. Windows logs every time it runs into an error and will give you the information you can google to see what caused the error. You can access these logs by doing this: You can do this by Press ⊞ Win + R on the M-Files server computer. In the Open text field, type in event viewer and click OK. Expand the Windows Logs node. Select the Application node. Now from here look for the date and time you had the blue screen. It should have recorded an event at this date and time with a red icon or yellow one next to it showing a problem. You'll recognize it because it looks bad. Click on one of these events. Down below it will give you an event ID number. You can google this to pinpoint what is causing the problem.

Thank you Liz, I tried all of these. It worked once but when I shut it off and tried to turn it on again a couple of days later it would not turn on. I tried doing it again but it didn’t work at all that time. I bought a warranty when I bought the computer, so I was able to send it out to get it fixed. I just got it back today; turned it on when it came in, it powered on just fine so I shut it down. A couple of hours later I turned on again to go to class and it did the same thing as before. I tried your method again except this time it turns on for like 5 seconds then it shuts off again. I’ve done all the things you do in the video and I get the same thing; it turns on for 5 seconds then shuts off. What does this mean? Is it a PS problem or a battery problem? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!! PS. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T430
Did you send the charger in with the computer? It could be a bad charger. Also are you using your computer with a surge protector? Because if you have a couple of bad outlets they could be giving your computer too much power.
@@EggheadFixers Yes, and Yes. After I wrote this comment I removed the battery again and held the power button down for 60 seconds, put the battery back in, surprise surprise, it worked! But it only stayed on for about 20 minutes then shut off on its own again. For the 20 minutes it was on I used it with the battery only, thinking that maybe the cable was the problem. Now its back to its old tricks; I tried doing the 3 different discharges to no avail. Do you think it could be a BIOS problem. I know you can’t really say without having the computer in front of you but in your expert opinion what do you think is the most likely cause? Thank you!!!

What if you repeat the process but you try leaving out the battery or the power cord? It could be that the battery or power cord being used is causing it to not turn on again.

So the problem for me is when I extracted this exe file to open a windowed version of a game from winrar and what happens is when I am in the game loading screen it won't work and it will not move the cursor it only worked twice and It is 1920x1080 as well and the game menu doesn't work
Yes I do everything is set to minimum graphics I forgot to mention that the game runs by 800x600 automatically but because of that resolution even if I changed it in the Games menu I wouldn't be able to do so because the menu is delayed also it isn't a cracked game because there is no DRM Restriction the game is called Wrestling Mpire and for some reason a mod I downloaded for the game does not work
When I attempted step 1, my computer booted successfully! O.O Turns out that my model of Thinkpad has a backup internal battery -- who knew? I shut down the computer, then I pressed the power button followed by F1 repeatedly until I entered the BIOS. In the Config section of BIOS, I disabled the internal battery. Then I followed step 1. After that, the computer booted successfully. From this, I deduced that my internal battery was causing the problem. My solution for now will be to keep the internal battery disabled.
