My passenger visor in my Mazda has been aggravating me for a couple months now. I didn't tell my husband because it would then be a production to fix it. Your direction is quick and easy and can't wait for him to go out to I can give it a shot!
I have a 1992 Firebird - and this worked for my Drivers Side visor. There is a little thin black or clear plastic tension sleeve in there - that has to be present. Also, there is a metal fastener that can be clamped down with a pair of pliers after you inset this. My passenger side is not as bad - but it is not super tight. Try pulling the plastic sleeve out and tape the rob - place the sleeve back on - and re-insert the whole thing - then the tension bolt on the outside. I would have thought that automobile makers would have perfected visors by now... My wife has a 2011 Pilot crap in her visors. GEEZ!
I tried this a few months ago before watching this video. it worked temporarily. I used scotch tape though. it didn't withstand the heat well. I'll try shrink wrap like someone mentioned.
Thanks alot!!! any tips on fixing caprice1985 manual seats.. the lever broke, also i wanted to take out my head rest for steam cleaning. but i dont know how?
A piece of the shrink tubing (for covering electrical connections) works great. *** IF YOU DON'T REMOVE THE WHOLE BRACKET FROM THE CAR USE A SHIELD BETWEEN YOUR HEAT SOURCE AND HEADLINER*** I say that because I sat and watched an idiot burn a hole through his.
Mine doesn't flap down, but it flaps side to side. So if I place it over by the driver's side window, everytime I turn a corner it flops over and hits me in the head!
Hello , is it possible for anyone can provide a video on how to remove a drivers side sun visor with the ( light & mirror ) , on a ( 2008 Saturn vie , v-6 , 4 door , all wheel drive ) , " help please "
Klowny, take a small drill bit and drill by the black metal part, just inside the beveled edge. Then hit a short roll pin through (I got a set of different sizes at Harbor Freight). I knocked mine flush with the surface. I wish I had done this years ago. I was going to pay like $50 for new mounts, but this worked perfectly. They don't flop at all, not even a tiny bit. I got the idea from a thread on transamcountry.com/community/index.php?topic=56501.0
+klowny1969 I can tell you have no idea what the fuck ur doing especially using a drill screwdriver, think u got that last screw in with enough torque? lol
+Dustin Joints yeah and i can tell that u never touched a electric screwdriver before ir else u would know that its a very low torque screwdriver..try again
see how he tried to show off his guns at one point? lol but yeh I thought of this right before I started looking up quick fixes. Now I juts have to put myself to do it :/
