Or you could buy and install a Seatbelt Bypass/Override for about $20 bucks or less. It's usually a fairly easy install. In some vehicles it's just a matter of reaching under the seat to unplug the sensor and plug the bypass clip in its place, but the junkyard bit is good too.

@@daveshangar6820 I actually did try. There's a leash harness that attaches to a seatbelt to prevent dogs from jumping out of cars but I didn't find it worked well.
Lol generally I dont go around sniffing seats ha ha. I bought the car used theres alot of dirt in the seats. It can be cleaned however this is my dog car so it just gets dirty again.
Guess it doesn't work for everybody's car. There's alot of different models with different sensors. You shouldn't dislike a video just because it doesn't work on your personal car.... that's kinda unfair. Some cars have seat weight sensors . Hope this helps and you remove that dislike
@@drewsquickfix It's because your video title says it fixes a malfunctioning sensor, but you didn't fix the sensor. Nothing was fixed. Your solution also won't work for the drivers seat.
@@societyofrobots it does fix the sensor issue on most cars a fix can be temporary or a permanent solution to a problem..... I never say REPAIR which is restoring and removing the sensor or other issue. Please just go pay the $200-$300 at a dealership vs complaining about my video which has helped 100s if people for FREE and upset people who own expensive foreign cars like Mercedes and bmws which this often doesn't work on and who dont want to pay for repairs on expensive cars and expect an easy fix I guess you can't please everyone???? Im sorry you felt the title was misleading. When i made thisnthere was no other videomto help people withbthis issue. Thays why my video pops up in the feed. This is for a Chrysler pt cruiser. No I didn't fix anything except making the Bell stop ringing....... instead of complaining on free videos why don't you just pay a mechanic $600 to have your issue reapired. Thanks
