I would have taken a little off both stems instead of making one shorter and less secure. I'm not a locksmith eirher but I am a retired electrical technician and I understand a little about mechanical physics as well and the main reason this happens is because the door is actually too thin which is really easy to kick in so exactly how secure is any of this? HaHa just saying bro if you're going to make this kind of content be prepared to have civil conversations. We learn from others but teach ourselves. Keep on it...
You're absolutely right and I wanted to grind the other side, but if you look closely, there's a part of the lock that was in the way and would make it challenging.
