For the area by the airport/shipping harbor: Think one cyberpunk area in your solarpunk utopia. Think Night City of Gibson's Neuromancer. Shipping storage, with coffin hotels, shops, etc. mixed together.

Too many broken grids and odd spots missing from zoning. My OCD is screeching.

I think for the airport area you can add the sport arenas and/or a touristy place. you should have enough space to plan for traffic and also the noise wont be much of an issue bc its close to the airport

please dont stop cities skylines because this is the only content i consume from you, satisfactory just isn't my type of game

Maybe another Industrial area around the airport using the unique factory buildings to make it more interesting. Great looking city!! Your videos always make me wanna jump back into the game myself :D

BUG: Be careful with the tree lined Quay's! The pathing tracker was bugged the last time I used them and my cities path limit's were used up quickly!

I think a unique factory would fit quite nicely in that area between the port ant the airport

Kibs, it's ok to use tunnels for roads sometimes. There are times when it's better to use a tunnel than an insane bridge. I'm just saying... Love the videos, though. ❤

I think for the area, you should make it a secondary to the mall part and make it into a huge area with lots of restaurants and some huge hotels to house tourists. Also, it could be a residential to the people that work at the port and airport, but the houses are as far away from the airport and port as you can, closer to the other residential area.

For the harbor/airport area, you should move your remaining industrial over there so that the residential area can continue.

I think there might be a problem with the monorail ship hub. The monorail trains tend to vanish and not actually go to the harbor, thus making the line not work.

Just a heads up, there's gonna be one last dlc for CS 1, focused on hotels and stuff.

for the airport you should add the basketball arena. You should also try and divide it up such as there is a bit of industry near the train line. On the other side closer to the mall you should add some hotels and other airport themed buildings.

youre mistaking the control of the game with the market forces in real life. the "poor section" of town is because thats what the market value of the area is. if you make it nice (ie gentrify) then the poor people get displaced by people willing to pay more to live there. effectively youre moving people lower on the socioeconomic ladder further out where they need to pay more for their transport costs, and more time commuting.

That area by the airport could be perfect for an amusement park, lots of space for rides and attractions, and super easy for tourists to get to

For the area near the airport, I think you should include some sort of emergency hub

If you mouse-over the green i next to the city name you can see the workers / jobs numbers.

I think that you should do some zoned industry in airport/harbor part of the city because you don't have a lot of it. Also I love series.

Amusement park / tourist trap would be my thought for the area since tourist will be coming from both the airport and port.

On the second housing expansion there is a metro under the new housing, you should add a stop!

1. The cargo one next to the airport should be industrial and supply area that is a thing here in south area of Seattle, WA. 2. The font of the city of the empty space should be lower NYC Manhattan style inspired plus with all of the world trade center and the world trade center underground transit station style with every single one of the transportations as well with it. 3. Whloe east side of the city next to the river should be Jersey City, NJ style inspired a underground transit station connection to the lower side of the city and center of the city underground transit station. The north of the city should be a suspension bridge connection to upper Jersey City, NJ style, international airport/industry and supply area and the upper west side of the city as well. 4. The west side should be tourists and attractions area next to the river with a vary large amusement park/water park and next to it with hotel's to enjoy the amusement park and water park and the city's and the suspension bridge view as well. The center of the city is a one way highway of 2 suspension bridge inspired from the Tacoma narrows bridge, WA to the amusement park/water park and a underground transit station as well. The north side of the city is a suspension bridge to the cargo/supplier and international airport area and upper Jersey City, NJ style inspired and underground transit station as well The south side another suspension bridge near of the upper lower side of the city where the NYC Manhattan Style is at and the underground transit station as well. This is Inspired of both whole East side of Manhattan Style and the whole West side Brooklyn style where's the bridge is at thoug also along side with whole Jersey City, NJ style and whole west of of Manhattan Style as well

turn the area by the airport into an adventure park. moto cross tracks, roller coasters, race tracks, rock climbing stuff, paintball course, etc.

I'm furious the tree area wasn't the self sufficient buildings. Caused me physical pain.

You need a Hicksville in the middle of nowhere a liquor store, a few trailer parks and a large landfill for the city

I think there is one thing lacking in the foresty area, and that is trees on the main road, as for now you only have grass. Otherwise watching your work on this city gives me my shots of dopamine, really appreciate it, continue like this.

you should get the tree brush mod, it makes placing trees 100000x easier. and you can put multiple trees in one brush, and change the size and density.

For the area next to the the airport, it should be either replaced with industries or an amusement park for the tourists. And the DOWNTOWN, we've been waiting for it! Make it a posch beach front area with villas and all, make it RICH baby!

For the airport area add some hotels. You can also use the new hotel dlc

This city really needs a nice, big military base, to keep an iron grip on those pesky, rebellious wage sla- I mean to protect all those valued, hard-working citizens from no-good criminals, yes. 😁 =^x^=

In the harbor/airport area I would make it a mega industrial zone with a new source of power. Nuclear energy. It would look really cool and you would bennefit from the close industry to the import and export areas. As you continue down that stirp of land you should gradually go down into farms/ranches along side with small neighbor hoods in single family homes away from the city.

it doesnt matter what i do, i have 2 5 star parks, a 5 star oil industry, a huge pedestrian zone and paths for them to walk and bike all over, the entertainment level is high, I have plenty of parks, hospitals, waste, and crematoriums to deal with the respective issues. But im still losing population. I was at 23k at one point, now im down to 2.7k and only gaining a max of 15 people per week. What do I have to do get my population back. My city is suffering because everyone left or died and now I have no workers, no demand for anything, and nobody is moving in to fix it. I had to turn on unlimited money to continue my city because even with an oil industry that is constantly exporting mass goods I'm still losing 177k week. My city is in ruins. I have 12% tax across the board. What do I do here?

Since Kibitz isn't torturing the citizens, they decided to do that themselves. With fire. Because they are fine. Everything is fine.

The harbor monorail hub is broken, had that in my city too. I needed to unlock the monorail from the asset and replace the station piece with one from the workshop

I think it's important to provide housing for people of all income levels. Sometimes an area needs to be less desirable to live in so it can be more affordable.

If you have enough of all the fires just deinstall the natural disasters dlc, because it causes trees to randomly catch on fire 🔥

That new hotel dlc (coming soon tm) is looking mighty fire for that airport area!! :O

Make the downtown area at the end of the peninsula into a touristy commercial zone with hotels, restaurants, etc.

I feel like the zoning adjustment mod could be useful in this city.

For the area by the airport you could do a service area, like water treatment, trash treatment and other stuff in those line

Nobody: Me putting up the transport for the airport: - 4 Lane Highways North/South And West/East - Busses, Taxis, Metro, Monorail, Train, Tram, Ferry with its own canal, biking & walking lanes, making biffa and drakken proud with my traffic layout. At least thats the overkill plan

I think, if you made the district containing the stadium, grandmall, etc. Into a leisure specialization so that the tourist that come to see the game have stuff to do before and after the game that would look cool as well as feel right. Also, the area by the airport and cargo hub should be the generic industry you took out and can bring the share prices back up a bit😅. Also in the future maybe across the river, you could make some hills and build a nature reserve/university complex that will give you a reason to expand out that way. Amazing and super entertaining videos btw.

If only Cities:Skylines had some megastructures, like an arcology or actual space elevator with stuff around it. All connected up and stuff.

I think the harbour with the monorail isn’t working and that’s why the monorails are disappearing. Had the same problem and couldn’t fix it (PS edition)

I live in the Fraser Valley, and because the views are so good and there are so many mountains so space is limited, housing is very expensive. One of our neighbors is selling his house for $2.5 million Canadian dollars. It’s not even a giant house or anything.

When you were trying to figure out what to put in the small area that you first suggested the basketball arena into, I was thinking that a prison might have fit in there, depending on the area of effect any negative impacts have. Also, do you have any fire watch towers placed? They might help with preventing the fires.

4:40 Having residential along such a busy and large road is usually not a good idea. You'll get a stroad effect that tends to go bad. I would put a sidewalk along the big roads to help frame the area and, for any areas that are empty, put a few more trees and small parks to help drown out any unwanted traffic noise.

For the area around the airport, maybe more Emergency Services? everything seems to be burning at all hours of the day...

For the airport area add hotels, low residential, offices, malls and other unique buildings that will bring many visitors and profit

Can leave some of that area you asked about just open land, some of it could be warehouses/storage. Could work given the area is near the port/airport.
