I bought Toro self-propelled last June and recently when I was pulling the mower backward all of a sudden the lawn mower self propelled handle wouldn't disengage. When I start the Mower, immediately the wheel starts to spin. Do you think it could be the broken spring that you showed in the video?
Attempted to turn my cable w/o taking assembly apart, but it was not tightening. Once I took the plate off handles/springs became separated. Is there a diagram someone can provide on how to put the engineered assembly back as I was able to tighten
I replaced my cable and the self propelled works again. Yeah! However, the wheels want to turn without pulling the levers? I have tried adjusting the line to loosen it but wheels still want to turn...although not as strong as original. What can I do?
i have a Brute 7800885, it's a Murray with Brute badges. the spring on the end of the cable broke off. I looked under the mower, but I am not sure where the spring attaches to the transmission. Can anyone help?
Well on mine, I adjusted it and it only works at "fast as a rabbit". There is like slack in the cable /handle. A dead spot where it feels like it's doing nothing. By the point it feels like it's tight, you're at "fast as a rabbit" speed. So...... New cable? Thanks so much for your time
