I have a Simpson surface cleaner on my workbench now that I cleaned my deck with once 2 years ago and gave me fits yesterday. I pulled spinner head off 4-5 times, cleaned and lubed and never got to spin longer than 5 minutes. Next to me is also a brand new Ryobi 15 surface cleaner that looks like it has the same problem and cost me over$90. I hesitate to open up the box. What’s a homeowner supposed to do? Buy a $90 cleaner every time I want to clean my deck?
I have learned with these homeowner grade surface cleaners that after every season of use no matter how long it had been used in a season they just quit working so you end up buying a new one.
Why didn't you first check to see if it just needed lubricant? Wouldn't this have been the most common issue causing the problem and the easiest to fix? May I suggest you include that procedure in your next updated video.
There is a little screen in the top of it that was clogged and that usually needs to be cleaned every so often, to help it turn, but that wasn’t the issue here. Something else was wrong and I tried to fix it, but it didn’t work, so i ended up purchasing a new one.
