The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy ru-vid.comUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!
Thank you for posting this, it gave me the confidence to open up the heater and fix the problem. I refused to spend £60 on the kit someone was selling so managed to source the parts myself.
Im really glad you fixed the fault. That's the plan is to save everyone money. I've noticed everything to do with a caravan Is ££££ EXPENSIVE £££ & very little videos out there but if you got a little confidence you can do anything.. well done you keep subscribing for a lot more hint & tips
just checked mine. one crumbled when i took off. removed both off and clipped wires together to test and voila - its working! so i'm going to order the sensors to replace. thanks to Patrik also for his comment with the ebay item numbers ;)
Thanks for the video, my truma s5000 works on gas but no longer on the electric so I bet it will be the thermostats you pointed out. We are away shortly so will us gas for the next two weeks and do a strip down in May. Bless you brother, phill
Hey Attic Treasures, thanks for the video, I have a gas heater just like this one but with out all the electric components so i think mine must be older. i brought it from a guy who was seeling parts of an old caravan and i am about to install it in my van/ stealth camper conversion. i have decided to do away with the front cover and the fan system that moves the hot air around the camper becuase i only have to heat a small space. because of my limited space i am building cupboards around it. i can see that you have a similar arangment which is reasuring as i was curious wether or not it could be a hazard to have so much wood around the heater? what do you think? (ps i have covered all the wood imediately surrounding the heater in sheets of aluminium similar to the alu sheet here in your video. thanks
Interesting video thanks I go a Truma s3002 the mechanics look the same although the controls look opposite. I’m pretty sure I’ve got problems with my thermocoupler have you done a video on replacing one. My heater is fitted in a Campervan. Cheers pete
Hi, when you had this problem with the thermostat did your ultraheat keep going off on the dial. My one is an older version than yours with the two separate dials and it turns on initially say to the 2kw setting then goes off when I adjust the temp then I can't get the dial to illuminate at any of the three power settings.
Any advice please. I disconnected the electrical part on my heater and can not reconnect it. Your advice was to be very careful because replacement boards are £80-£90. The electrical connector will push in but isn’t connecting to anything and just falls out. What can I do?
Just watched you explaining about fire. That sounds exactly my problem and I'm very handy and confident to repair myself. What seal do I need name for eBay. And to check mine has stopped working on turning the wall thermostat. A caravan repairer told me it's the temp control something ?? Would love to hear from you.
Its been a long time since I repaired the heater. Try searching on Ebay for truma ultra heater flue seal its Normally red rubber ring and the same for the thermostat should be a very small circle ⚪. Give it a go & save the money but be very careful with the gas still get it checked out for leaks (pressure test) Normally on a service. Im glad i could inspire you to give it a try...
Just bought a motor home and plugged into electric Fan blows cold air not hot and water is cold any chance you can help fix it for me thanks Darren from York
Hi thanks for the video. Mine is making a buzzing noise when I set the thermostat to around 20, and it's not heating up at all. Should I remove the gas part of it as per your video? Thanks.
Hi the fan is located behind the fire. If its not working I would try all your fuses first. But without seeing the fault I wouldn't know sorry. Best bet is to have it serviced. Its been a long time since I've done anything with a caravan lol thanks for watching 👀
My rod that goes down to ignite the gas( the one that makes the clicking noise i not attached to anything. Should it not be? Can you get me some sort of diagram that i can look at?
Hi, mine doesn't seem to he throwing enough gas heat out, I can see blue flame after its boosted but even on gas setting at its highest setting 10 not much heat at all, what could it be please?
Hi fellow Welshman.. great video.. just bought my first van but having a problem. Heater will run off gas and blowers work fine. Plugged into hookup I’m not getting a green light from thermostat switch / adjuster.. checked plug fuse and all fine 🤔 pls help
Lama 69 I’m getting the same issue. Find arcsystems.biz on the web and give him a ring. He’s really useful and suggests it could be an issue with the PCB. Haven’t got around to doing it yet but will be in touch with him when the time comes
Good video - my ultraheat 230v Keeps tripping and now I get the green light but if I turn up heat - it trips . it has been tripping from time to time and completely at random. I guess i will try and replace thermostats as per your video. Where did you get them from
My gas fire worked untill I had it gas tested, I turned it on and it worked fine but the flame turned off.... this must have been as a result of air being in the system, I have tried lighting it and holding the switch down but it no longer makes the clicking sound. I am convinced I have held down the switch long enough to let any trapped air through so I wondered if there is a battery systen somewhere that may have failed?
The switch on mine is broken where it goes in to ignite the heater. I can't tell if I'm missing any parts, or whether I can fix it myself. I can't find a diagram anywhere, please help!
I do recommend you get a gas safety check by a competent engineer, gas safe registration doesn't come into it as it is a tourer and would require a gas safe certificate every time you changed the bottle there are different rules for tourers!
Hi mine is a carver gas only 36000 I moved it( but not not completely) to grease the fan bearing which was squeaking, when i put it back it will not fire up, just clicks, there are no leaks and everything is tight, the instructions says sometimes you get air in the system but i tried for ages and nothing, gas to everything else is fine, can you help?
My heater doesn't work the pilot light is lighting but then going out the long thing coming off the ignition in side the heater as now broke off my heater hasn't worked since I've had the caravan any tips
I honestly don’t know, if you’re unsure then get a professional to look as it’s very dangerous. Please be careful I wish I could help but unfortunately I don’t have my caravan anymore
I have a truma 3002p igniter is working but I cannot get the gas to ignite. Last time I used the fire it lit fine when I tried it again shortly after the fire did not light but made a bang obviously build up of gas and it will not now run on gas works fine on electric please help Kind Regards Martyn
You might have a bit of dust covering the ignition apart from that I not entirely sure I'm sorry. If its gas then get it checked out by a professional better safe than sorry.
The fan on our truma heater isn't working. The heater itself works but we don't get any heat through the blowers around the caravan. Any ideas please would be welcome. This is all new to us lol
look at your gas knob on fire and if its near the 0 number move it up a little to the 10 number as it might be that as mine did the same and this cured it.
Anybody!!...... desperately seeking help! I bought my first motorhome last winter. An old reasonably priced one that was in good technical condition, to find out if this way of traveling was anything for me. Now I am on a trip in northern Norway and here the summers are cold. Now I got problems with my trumatic s3002k from the year of 1994. A red warning light comes on after a short time, the fan reduces the speed and after a short time the heat turns off. The warning light is located on the underside of the front panel. The ignition is connected directly to the 12v battery bank. I can not figure out what the problem is. Can not find answers in the user manual. Is there anyone who can give me any advice?
I honestly can’t remember, you should be able to switch between gas and electric on the knob I think or the switch on the wall it was a long time ago now lol
