Instead of vinegar in the sun, use peroxide instead, , peroxide will turn the brownish back to white and dull colors brighter. If it's really yellowed you may have to spray the peroxide on twice., I had a cloth headboard that was pink roses, green leaves, ect, it had yellowed and dulled over the years, the peroxide really brightened the colors back up again, but do it on a good sunny day works great on yellowed white plastic items also.

I did both it kind of turned a little white. The following year the color is the same. I will never buy a white tree anymore.

I think the vinegar method could work in a hot sunny country as I used it on my mouldy rockery around the pond and it significantly whitened the rocks. I live in the Mediterranean

Um. Amazon, Walmart, Ebay...They all deliver, girl! Don't spend all that dough! You got the right paint but I would suggest sitting the wreath on the ground and lightly spraying the top. you need to be about 6-12 inches away. It dries fast in that heat. Flip it over, respray..so much easier, faster and uses less paint. If you just keep spraying and spraying in one spot the paint will not adhere. You'll end up just spraying and not really getting very far and will use tons of paint. For the tree, take the branches off and flatten them. Put them on the ground and spray the top side..let dry for a few minutes then turn over and spray again. I sprayed a green tree white and a dirty white tree and I only needed 1 quick coat on each side and then a final touch up to make sure it was all painted completely with no green or poo-poo brown spots, lol. Did the same with several hundred feet of double twined garland. I also tossed on some holographic extra fine glitter after spraying each area which reflects beautifully with white lights..but you could adjust according to your own taste, of course. btw, Im in Florida and had a brand new white tree that was sealed in its box and the branches sealed in plastic from the factory. It was stored inside a second floor closet for 1 year and looked like a cancer lung! IDk what causes it but I assume it is from filthy air vents. We were in a rental and I know they hadn't ever cleaned those vents! Also, it could be from regular cooking or..well, smoking too. Though, most people who I know who have had this issue did not smoke. It's also happened in new homes so that's why I think cooking could be the culprit. Either way, I hope you and your husband had a very Merry Christmas and have many more to come! :)

That is true!! But the delivery cost to Singapore would end up being the same as just going to the store here and shelling out the $100's they're asking for! Thank you for the suggestion on the wreath - totally going to try that! A Merry Christmas to you, too, dear :)

I also would think the painting method would make the tree stiff.

Giant @Suntec City, NTUC @ Marine Parade usually have very good price range Chrismas tree ^_^. I've got a white one (around 1.8m) for less than SGD 30.

Don’t think the first method would work in the UK!! Lucky if there’s 12 hrs of sunshine in the whole YEAR 😉😂😂

Hah that’s true!! In singapore it might work when it’s not rainy season. We found the spray paint to be the best method, for sure 👍🏻

why would you waste paint on the back of a wreath? Also why not set it down so you can see what you’re doin? I almost gave up on you but I javectge same delimma. I determined spray paint and some additional flocking would work. I’m curious how it came out on your end...😩

My tree has lights on it that you can't remove. So don't think this will work. I wish.

I have a theory on what is going on with the color changes. We had gas logs that were not burning properly. We noticed our white tree turned light brown. Also noticed our walls turning brown. Turned out the fireplace was emitting soot particulates into the air. I’m guessing maybe particulates in your air have plated out on your decorations. Hoping to try peroxide on our tree which has lights and fiber optics built in.

Did you spray the bleach on with a squirt bottle? The flocking on our tree made it not so bleach-friendly. But the spray paint worked a dream!!

I’m so glad I read the comments. My tree is flocked too. I live in Washington State and not enough sun anyway. So I’m just going to go ahead and jump to the spray painting method. Lol This was VERY helpful. Thank you! 🎄❤️
