Just wanted to thank you , for the video ,my elderly mum oven broke , new one was over 400 pounds and 45 fitting , new element was 17.99 part from amazon , just look up the serial number came next day and took 6 min to fit cause of your uploaded video ) top man !

What if heating, light bulb and ventilator won't turn on? I have power to the controls, they're the only ones lighting up. Inside is dead. Can it be something else or do you think replacing the heating element would fix this?
Great video. Thank you for sharing. But please can you add to the end of the video. Should it not work make sure the Auto button on your cooker is switched off. Then it resets the oven to basic cooking. 👍
I've lost count to the number of times have had to do this to ovens. Anglesey a few times the spade connectors have broken off so have had to crimp new ones on. All so worth doing a continuity check on the element as I've been sold did ones before! Nice video
Hey, great video and hoping this will fix my problem. Basically grill comes on when top and bottom heater with fan us selected. Will this resolve that problem or is something else causing that to happen? Thanks
Hi - my oven has definite cold spots. When I put a piece of kitchen roll on the shelf and turn the oven on, the fan draws the tissue up against the back wall - should it be drawing air out of the oven? Or pushing air into the oven to distribute the heat. I don't want to go to the trouble and expense of replacing the element if it's the fan that's not working properly. Thank you.
hello mate is it definitely the element when the oven is not heating up because i am about to buy one for my zanussi which only heats up slightly but the fan still works

great video. My oven is a dual fan model. Is it possible that both heating elements are broken? Should I check both individually? Otherwise oven works fine...
How do you actually establish this is the exact problem and not a thermostat or fuse? My guess is, if the fan works but doesn't heat, def not a fuse. But how do you rule out the thermostat?
My fan whirls and light comes on but doesn't heat up. Is there a way to check it was the element? Mine shorted the circuit at the time and I had to go to the fuse box. is that a sign?
Great video. Could I just ask a question because my fan has stopped working but my element is still working. Does this mean that the fan is faulty? It's 2 years old and is used about once a week. Not clogged with fats as we are vegans.

My cooker is wired directly into the wall,then up the wall a bit is the switch to turn the power off to it,would turning that switch off be all i need to do,or will i switch off the house power?Thanks

Had my oven for about 5 years, oven died yesterday. Exactly same setup as this. It turns on for about 10 seconds, then cuts off. Rest of the oven working fine. Going to pop it open later and see if the element is showing signs of being burnt out
my question is this one...how the oven is still working if this heating element is damaged...i mean, why is not short circuited when is turned on?...is somehow a different power circuit?
I’ve replaced the thermostat, replaced the heating element. Grill works but when set to fan oven mode, the temp doesn’t increase. Fan is working, light comes on when switched on to heat up, there is no clock/auto display. Logik LBFANX16 Please help cos I’m gonna smash this with a hammer otherwise
We also have the same issue. The fuse box tripped. Found after resetting that the fan part of IKEA oven and also the fan grill setting is not heating up. The conventional over and under oven and grill is heating up. Is this still the element in your opinion Geek Street?
@@mickbeth77 yeah it turned out that the selector switch had burnt out. So basically when you turn the oven on and off it should always be in a particular order, I,e when turning on should always select the function you want then the temperature, to turn off always do the reverse, so turn off the temperature then turn the selector switch to off. It prevents the switch from burning out.

Thank you for the reply. I will order the element and give the updated. Does it mean the grill on top it is connecting with element too? Because the grill not working too. :(
So my oven seems like it doesn't quite reach the heat it should be able to (300°C). I don't have a heat pistol or something to measure it accurately but it looks like it caps out at about 200°C-220°C max. Is it possible that this issue might be coming from a defective heat element or would it not be heating up at all if it doesn't work properly?
@@seanscaddan8608 Yes that does sound like an issue with the fan, perhaps the bearings are gone. I'm no oven engineer so don't take my word for granted perhaps search forums on the internet for additional info. Hope that helps.
@@GeekStreet that's what I do 😉😅 think I'm just gna go for a air fryer as I live alone so dont really need a cooker...was just looking for my element on my electric cooker but I only see the grill and my back has no screws so god knows where my oven element is 🤷🏼♂️
