HOW TO: Fix ANY Printer Issue on Your Mac 

I’ve searched high and low to find a solution to my printing issues and FINALLY FOUND IT!!! Thank you so much for your help!! I appreciate you immensely 🤗 💯!!!

I used this on my new printer in 2024. I used 2 screens to follow each step. Thank you. This was better to follow than some of the other RU-vid sites.

thank you for explaining why a duplicate printer wasn't printing and to delete all from printer settings. A viewer below also had the same issue.

I have a MacBook Pro version 12.5.1 (Monterey). My problem is that it suddenly can't even find my printer, which it was using fine until today. I've tried the things you suggested in this video but it just can't see the printer, before or after I deleted it. This is a very helpful video though, in spite of my issue. Do you have any videos hat address it not finding the printer? Printer says it's online, It prints.

Thanks!!! This worked!!! One tip for everyone. HP replaced my old printer with the exact same model. So My Mac was seeing the OLD printer. Go to 6:16 in the vid. Hit the minus sign to get rid of all printers. Then hit + sign to select new printer which in my case was the exact same model.

I really appreciate your comprehensive video. I'm astounded that nothing has worked. Printer works off phone with no fuss but the MAC will not communicate with the printer. did cups, updates, installed hp 'easy starts' as well as all new firmware and drives from their website. I'm just absolutely astonished. Gobsmacked. been at it for like 4hours lol kms

Not sure what I did but went through the CUPS steps and after a few mins my printer reappeared in my system preferences -- HP users: I also moved Epson and Canon Folders to recycling been, so that may have contributed as well. Again, not sure how this fixed itself but thanks for this video! It's book marked on my tab!

Thank you for your help! I was able to get my printer to recognize my computer so it would print for me. However, I still have an issue. My blue and black ink will not print. I have cleaned the head. I have changed the cartridges. I have tried to just print black. I am not sure what else to do, other than get a new printer. :(

I erased Drivers and then it Fixed immediately. My Mac detected the printer and downloaded the drivers and that's all, thanks you very much!

Sorry for sounding so dumb- I just really dont want another printer to screw up somehow! I just recieved a replacement printer- the other one had issues. They are exactly the same model and make, although this one of course is a few years newer (2021 vs 2024) Would it be best to remove the printer, AND uninstall all the drives and then when i plug the new one in, Re-install them as a ‘clean’/fresh install to set up the new printer ? I hope that make sense! Thank you! I have a macbook pro 15" 2015 and the printer is an epson workforce printer (dont say anything negative about it at the moment please! LOL!) I would hate to uninstall it and have issues re-installing but thought it may be best to install the new one as if I never had one before.... what would you do? And sorry this must sound dumb

My HP printer got few issues on the wireless options. I can easily send files for my other apple devices. But not from my MacBook Pro were I edit and manage most of my files and softwares. I want to fix it this time, because I can't be bothered to send my files to my iPad in order to print. Simple question is, since I re install it twice and I have the same issue. What should I do ?

I think my printer is not compatible with MacOS Sonoma, as it prints a blank page. Is there a generic HP printer driver that will work for a HP Envy 4520?

I have a Mac with an HP printer. I can print anything off the internet; but when I try to print something on file in my Mac, it shows only blank pages in the print preview. And that's just what I get from the printer--blank pages. Suggestions?

This guy addressing real world issues is my favourite thing. Tired of watching videos on thermal paste and undervolting and crap which an Average Joe would not do.

I'm impressed MacOS uses CUPS same as Linux, this steps are accurate and you took the right way to fix it, I prefer the terminal way but the whole video is fantastic!

The printer is visible, it just gets stuck on sending the file 2020 M1 macbook air

I am having trouble with printing from my computer on my printer it says code 2110 and says "The size/type of loaded paper is deferent from the print settings." What if your printers do not show up on the list again after deleting them. I have two printers , neither show up at all not on the iMac or the PC. Both computers are hard wired lan by cat cable to the router.

just purchased my mac book air m1 and I could not get my Samsung c410w to print, in the end as I have 2010 17" MBP I copied from library/printers to my mac book air and copied from system/printers to my mac book air and its now recognized and prints the first time. was a bit of a long shot but I had tried everything so I thought sod it, hope this helps you.
