It's such an easy way to hear the difference between two files. You can use this to hear what EQ, or compression, or any other sort of processing is doing. In this case, it makes it easy to hear how much audio is being lost due to the lossy compression.
@@jesse.mccune It's not a feature I ever noticed in the DAWS and multitrack programs I've used (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, Presonus Studio One). You know what they say about "old dogs" - thanks for showing me a new trick. ;^)
I haven’t run into this recently, but I’ve had a couple instances where this was an issue. Tech support was able to reprocess the files and correct the sync issues. Having said that, I have seen a ton of reports of sync issues with Riverside over the last month or two. It seems some of the newer AI features have caused a lot of issues. Another thing that has been blamed for issues lately is that Riverside quietly increased their minimum tech specs to requiring much stronger computers than in the past.
