The problem is most DIY’rs are impatient, including me we want everything right the first time, like you said how will you learn if you don’t experience mistakes on the job.
Another thing that helps is using your 1.2mm nozzle to help break up the resins/solids in your clear when spraying. I spray a lot of Chameleon brand high solids euro clear that is made in Germany with my Devilbiss DV1-C clear gun and always use the 1.2mm for that. If i am using Acme Finish 1 FC720 medium solids overall clear i use 1.3mm

I needed this video last week I need dealing with the paint from another shop super cheap clear when new paint touches it it turns in to like sticker glue horrible I ended up stripping the car it has 5 paint jobs... I tried epoxy and everything and the bottom clear would fuck up
From time to time I have this happen. I now just clear coat the panel. Let it dry. Then sand it, rebase coat and clear again. I’ve found out the clear coat locks down the issues. Yes this takes more time.

Amazing finish on those panels when they were done Marco, considering you were painting in 25f temps then I think this is a first class job👌I've never painted in those temps and tbh I don't think I would like to so I'm sure this video will be a big help for a lot of the DIY/Home painters out there like me👏👏 Have you tried heating your clear up Marco, I find that it helps to get it out of the gun better as it will atomise finer as the heat is a natural thinner, I know it will be cold again by the time it's on the panel but I find it helps to get a flatter finish🙏🙏👍John UK
No mate they are all in their air conditioned booths scared to go out in the cold, bunch of😼😆it will be interesting to see if heating the clear helps for you Marco👍
That’s probably a wrinkle, crows feet is when the sun bakes the paint and makes lil cracks usually in like lil star like patterns , very similar tho . A lot of people just skim over them and fill them in, but you have to completely strip it down to metal, or fiberglass. Prime , sand again, paint
I’ll give alot of credit for painting at those temps I get nervous painting anything below 65 from what I see u use fast hardners I’m still waiting for speedkote to give Canadian prices I bought 2 gallons of the smr 1150 cost me 220 a gallon instead of the 60 us lol my stuff came from California I bought it off Amazon I bought the speedokote excel orator I like it 20 us I think I payed 80 for I don’t mind the products there just marked up a lot because of the dollar conversion

Nice I like this one and the funny thing is I got a mess up In one of paint jobs I decided to show the repair on it and it was definitely an amateur mistake 😂 but this video was nice 🔥🔥🔥
