You literally saved my life. My mom was cussing me out about how I broke this thing and because of your video I was able to fix it back thank you so much. You don’t know how much of a God sent you are. Thank you.
This was such an easy fix after seeing this video. I’d been messing around with this for half an hour without taking the entire piece apart. I decided to look up a fix on RU-vid. Very clear, simple instructions and great video. Well done! Thank you!
I literally cannot thank you enough!!!!!! I tried forever today to figure this out, decided to buy new sliders, then thought….I bet someone on RU-vid can help me get those ball bearings back in. All fixed!!!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much!!!! I just spent an hour trying to shove this thing back together and after your video I was able to fix it in less than a minute!!!! This is a life saver!
Worked perfect! Of course my husband and I had been trying for almost 45 minutes prior to finding this video! Followed step by step and had it done in minutes!
Dude, you came to my rescue when I was at the point where I was going to order new drawer slides! I did one more search for resolving this issue and discovered your video. It worked perfectly! Thanks so much for going to the trouble of making this super helpful video! You rock!
Very helpful! Anyone know where replacement ball bearings strips might be sold? I have a drawer where one strip was completely bent out of shape & nearly torn. Can’t seem to find anyplace that sells the ball bearing strips, only the full slide assembly replacement! 😂🤣🤷♂️
Thank you. I had no idea how to fix a broken slider and had wasted the best part of an hour trying different things. I was stumped. Five minutes after watching your video, the slider was fixed and installed.
Thanks for the vid. I don’t have ball-bearing strips.. just loads of loose ball bearings rolling around everywhere. Does this mean my drawers are not fixable?
Good info, my issue was the silver bit in this video popped out so had to figure out to get that back in while managing to keep all the loose ball bearings in place but this is still good to know if I ever run into this issue.
Thank you! This video is so helpful I have this exact drawer slider and I've lost a few of the ball bearing strips over the years! 🤦♀ Has anyone had any luck finding any to buy online?😬
Adam thank you so much! I’m a handy guy but those rollers had me messed up. Was thinking I needed some channel-locks to start bending some of rail back and forth. Thank you!
You were the one that explained that I can put down the lock tab to extract or insert the slide. I searched in many videos and you were the ones. Thanks so much! I was afraid because that tab has like a security pinch, so I thought it was not possible to move.
Conspiracy theory - I think the reason the roller strips can't be found online for replacement (at least I haven't had any luck) is because the companies that make the drawer slides have bought out any license or vendor trying to sell them and then made them unavailable so you have to replace the whole thing. :(
Thank you for this video I just assembled a new computer desk for nearly 2hrs and dropped the drawer as I was feeding it in and this happened. Now it’s an easy fix!
Thanks for the video. I figured I needed to bend the tab to slide the plastic slider and bearings in, pushing them down marked the rails -- so obviously not how it was put together originally. In my case, I needed to place the plastic slider and bearings on the inside of the outer bracket in order to push the inner bracket through since the bearings would fall off of the plastic sliders if placed on the outside. The holes on the slider were too big to hold the bearings in place.
Thanks so much for this video, i had so some trouble in stalling this slides and damaged three in the process. now i can try fixing the drawer slides. Thanks a heap
Thanks! The metal drawer slide on my GE Freezer sliding drawer just came off and I used these instructions to put it back together! The bearing strips and the drawer slide for a freezer are assembled exactly the same way!
Appreciate this, I was stuck mine was a little cheaper apparently and I had to individually insert each ball bearing into that I didn't have a track that connected to it but I was still able to kind of follow the instructions. Which let me resolve my issue thanks so much
Couldnt find instructions anywhere when I received a damaged product. This worked perfectly and saved me a lot of money trying to ship it back or get someone to repair! Thanks a million!
This was really helpful even though my sliders were a very different style. Conceptually confirmed what I thought and gave me the confidence to make a fix on my kitchen trash can drawer. Just to get a second opinion I was reading through a Reddit thread, and it coincidentally had a link to this video 🙂 Thanks!
