Good video, I had to reset my bluetooth because it was not charging correctly and it was not connect sometimes. The reset fix that problem. A few years later I was getting the red and blue light flashing and my bluetooth was not fully charging. I tried a different power supply and that fix it.
Here is another problem I was having, the charging LED would flash blue and red after a few minutes connected to the charger. I reset it multiple times but it did not work. Then I pressed the reset button for over 10 seconds. That worked. Have not had anymore problems.
Sorry for the late reply Zand, I started doing the video step by step until i tore the helmet and noticed the updated connector on accident. I proceeded to scoured the internet for a factory reset option and found a diagram of the button being labeled helmet trouble-shoot button. tried it and that was the trick all along. hope you're still enjoying the helmet and using it to its max potential! -Corey
Thank you for the video. I couldn't figure out how to get to the screws holding the unit on. I didn't know about the screw on the side. Haha. I just got the whole replacement setup from Cycle Gear, and it's a whole replacement setup for anyone else wondering. Thanks again.
You're a fckn Genius bro... I saw that damn whole on mine, thought it was just for venting... I guess this is what you get when dont read the damn manuel 😅...
Why isn’t any Sena or cyclegear supporting this piece of junk. The manual is 45 pages filled with very complicated instructions. Press, center button or combination of buttons, “1sec, 2sec 3 sec, 5 sec, 10 sec or 12 sec”. Then good luck operating with gloved hands. I could not even activate the telephone voice command and instead activated the FM radio. This is a function that is not covered by the manual, and I haven’t been able to duplicate.
..they told me that this new sena was so much better than the last one but so far I've spent more time fu**,ing with it than riding. I hope your way works because I'm pist rite now..You would think the guys at the place you buy it would know about that reset....Real funny how every dam head phones I've gotten even the shit ones at family general....they ALL have no problem connecting yet this pos sena constantly ruins my day..the last one I had was that sedeci or what ever ...I finally gave up on the bluetooth after about 863 got dam hours of bullshit...then the pieces that hold the shield on were constantly falling off and was like 20 bucks every time..the last time I used that pos helmet first I spent an hour trying to connect it, wouldn't connect. Then it started raining, so I took off and got half way to my destination and its raining so hard I couldnt see. Then the rain and wind hit me and the shield blew rite off then I couldnt see at all, truck almost hit me as I crossed a bridge. I pulled over and threw that pos off the overpass into the middle of the freeway and rode off.
sorry for the late reply. I personally believe that this helmet has the ear speakers distance differently then my personal preference. if i can position one of them perfectly, I can hear alot more clear and better audio. i would give it a 7 based on price and speed of connectivity and ease of use. also the durability of the helmet is actually decent and theirs a million custom wind screen guards for this. enjoy the helmet!
So, I hadn't used my helmet in about 6 months and found the blue tooth was dead (or so I thought). I found this video while trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Tried the reset trick (didn't work). Ordered a new battery ($12 on Amazon). Replaced the old battery (it's not wired in, it's just shrink wrapped). Still didn't work. Went back and rewatched video. And, then it hit me - two buttons. Ugh! Yeah, it works...
sorry for late reply.... even tho you went through the troubled of changing the battery. the bright side is that now you have full battery life capacity for your helmet. this model is a few years old now and im sure ones purchased years ago have suffered lower life range. Enjoy the helmet!, i love mines.
Hello, I have depressed the reset button and did several combinations on trying to power up the helmet with the different buttons with no success. Of course this bluetooth has been built into this helmet so not sure if it can be replaced. Any information or resolution would be appreciated.
retry Every step with the the charger plugged into the helmet. If not, the battery might have corroded and might need a physical replacement.... reply if the first step doesn't work
If you can find the specs of the output wattage itself of each wire on the Dwo - 5 I wouldn’t see why not for the speakers and as long as the volts output on battery is same then u should be good ✅
I tried this method and It’s still not turning on. I just used the Bluetooth perfectly fine 4 days ago, now today it won’t turn on. Any ideas as to why?
