It doesn't work for me. Can you pls tell me what to do bc my screen isn't responding at all. Only home, volume and power buttons work. Also alarms and calls are working but the only problem that I cant touch screen. I tried million times restarting it but it doesnt work. Pls help me if you can

I have found the problem of my phone, looks like the problem is in the area of proximity sensor. So everytime i need to unlock my phone i need to cover the proximity sensor for several second, after that instanly after i lift up my hand, the AOD will appear and the display will work normally. But everytime i lock my phone and the display going off, it will be blackscreen again, and i should do the same proccess as above. But the note is i have test te proximity sensor of my P40 Pro using some apps, it looks like the sensor is working normally detect everything. If your phone works some time alone, looks like the same problem as mine
@@Lenzwalters I did. I tried endlessly and this would only make things worse, I believe. It just would NOT work. Took it for maintenance whereas I was told it's the "board." Moreover, it's a rather a rather old cell. Therefore spare parts are very SCARCE. (Like the issue of old cars). Thanks anyway.
