How to fix broken hubcaps/ wheel covers so they stay on!

Its a lack of friction, and you fixed it. Cable ties, I never thought of that!

I got a new set(my cheapie ride didn’t come with hub caps)and decided I wasn’t taking any chances and zip tied them to the rim.But what you did is actually smarter,you can’t see the zip ties.

I'd rather try to find replacement clips and after drilling a hole on both the replacement clips and the remaining part of the previous clip just put a rivet through to secure the new clip on the hubcap. But that's still an ok "repair" sometimes
