How to Fix Common Magazine Issues 

Thats interesting I have 1911 magazines with all types of different followers. I tend to lean more towards the polymer followers than the steel tab looking followers. Ive had good luck with Wilson Combat mags.

Ditto on the Mags: Wilson Combat, or CMC Shooting Star Mags. Price is Right on both. I got a deal on Chip McCormick Mags years ago and buy nothing but. No failure as yet, KOW! (Besides, CMC used to make Colt's 1911 8-round 45ACP mags anyways...!)

Can the springs and followers on these magazines be replaced?

What about if you can pull the magazine out easily by hand? I cant find a solution to this

I own a Taurus 1911. Runs flawlessly. Over 1,000 Rds. I just bought my first Colt 1911 and the magazine won’t feed the round into the chamber. I can’t believe it! Disappointed.

Well now I feel dumb 🤔😄 I just bought a Springfield 1911. One magazine worked fine the other wouldn’t hold the slide back. I did send it back to Springfield on a warranty claim. It’ll take 2+ weeks for it to come back. I could’ve fixed it myself.

Red dot slide cut, is there enough room on the slide. Will Colt manufacturer a 1911 with a red dot cut?
