It's my 5th time here and my drift just continues to get worse smfh. I can't a afford a 60 dollar controller rip Edit: I had to get a controller anyway because my drift got bad to where I couldn't play at ALL plus I couldn't fix it. Even the people at the game stores wouldn't fix it smh

That's because this isn't a real fix. The o Ly way to get rid of the drift is to actually take the control apart and clean it. There's plenty of videos on here to help you step by step. This dudes method is ultimately useless.

@@michaelfunsoo It's only a temporary fix. It'll come back. All you're doing by blowing into it and moving it around, the gunk that causes the drift is still in the control. Like, where is it going? The control is sealed. You're not really cleaning or fixing the issue.

@@IamNich1727 yeah because i have accidentally sit on my controller and the stick drift pretty much started after that but it was very small drift at first but it got worse and worse after time, blowing seems to work for a moment, and thankfully its on the left stick and it drifts only up so i can atleast play driving games with no issues but it becomes problem if i want to stay still like in war thunder and it fucks up my aim bc my tank moves by itself and i die😂 also its very annoying if i want to be movement god in Call of Duty bc i cant run without autorun and i cant change slide direction quickly without autorun bc it stops running if i press L3 down

Wish me luck, amma try this tomorrow after I charge my other 2 controllers that I retired due to the stick drifts. If this works, I won’t have to buy a 4th controller, cause my 3rd also has a stick drift and i just wanna play COD and BFV but it’s impossible. You would think Sony would have a troubleshooting (pun intended) message for a very common controller issue. But since they wanna sell us more overpriced controllers - it’s bad enough that we can’t even use PS5 controllers to play PS4 games or DualShock4 to play PS4 games on PS5. Sony is a greedy evil empire now, they purposely make cheap controllers to make more money. My ps1 to ps3 controllers never had this issue. As a matter of fact my ps2 controller works fine today after all the falls and abuse .

@Roper1Gaming i'm in the same boat. I had to pay 95 dollars for a 60 dollar controller because no stores have ps4 controllers. I'm wearing surgical gloves when I use it and wrapping it in paper towels when done. It's ridiculous considering I can buy a PC controller without the touchpad for only 10 dollars. Maybe I quit playing playstation.

It’s always the R3 one for me that messes up. Either, Aiming goes all over the place by itself or aiming in one direction moves slow as heck for some reason. Hope these tricks will help

Cursa ._. Nothing does. Drift will eventually take over your controller and you’ll never be able to fix it. Sometimes it gets to a point where you have to replace it

One extra step: follow everything shown in this tutorial, then turn the controller upside down so the analog sticks are pointing towards the floor. Pull the sticks downward individually as shown at 0:41 and gently rap/knock the back of the controller to dislodge debris.

Thanks man, that did the trick. Super simple, straight to the point and didn't have to possibly fuck up my controller further. Blowing air into the analog stick did the trick for me.
